Great cape getaway with clean, updated rooms

My wife and I stayed here for a quick trip down the cape to attend a wedding. This property was really fantastic. We stayed in room 2, and it was spacious, clean and updated. The bed was comfortable, the shower was huge, bathroom spotless, and there was a nice sitting area/kitchenette in the room in addition to the patio and various communal areas. Lots of nautical decor, in a good way. Great price compared to other cape properties, and a great find for our trip.
I’d seen other reviews about how this isn’t the same B&B as it was ten years ago. I can’t speak to what’s changed, but I can say that we were very comfortable and happy with the stay. FYI I found the property listed on booking.com as well as airbnb.

NEW OWNERS - NO LONGER THE B & B SPOKEN OF SO HIGHLY IN HERE

Just a note to potential vacationers - Allen Harbor Breeze Inn is no longer a B&B. Its new owners have turned it into rental units, and many of the amenities and "personal touches" no longer exist and, from what I've read online, the new owners are not always available or on site. Some of the photos showing browning leaves on plants is an indication of how far the care of this place has fallen since Jim & Marie left it with flourishing outdoor gardens. It was continued as a B&B for a couple of years by Flora, Dick, and Fiona. I last stayed there when they had just taken over. I do not know what happened to make them sell so soon, but I'm sad to learn of a once wonderful place's steady demise.

refund

I stayed at Allen Harbor Breeze Inn for two nights May 2022, we had paid for three nights, but due to health reasons could only stay two. i let the staff know before we left. Have called Christine several times and asked for my refund, two months later still have not received it. Not acceptable, never experienced this before.

Strange stay

The first thing we noticed were other reviews mentioning the lovely inn staff - there was no staff on site the entire time we were here. If you needed something, you had to text a number, which we had to do when we blew a fuse and when our bathroom floor flooded from an unknown cause. Then “someone” took care of it . The first day there was no coffee and it seemed we were the only guests. A few more arrived the next day and the coffee magically appeared. The room itself is basic, the pool area lovely and the location good. Would we stay here again- probably not, since there are so many options on the cape.

Pretty grounds and great location

My husband and I were in town for a long weekend to attend a wedding a 5 min. drive away at the Wychmere beach club.We ended up picking here because the the location. The place is really very quaint & quiet. Very short distance into town to delish restaurants and cute shops. The Inn offers a nice continental breakfast in the morning with scones, muffins, bagels,breads, yogurt, fresh fruit bowls, coffee, tea & juices. Our room was very clean as well as the pool. There was no daily room service because of Covid. The few criticisms I would offer is the room air conditioner is loud and should probably switch to a split duct system. Also the bathroom is very tiny with little space to put your personal items. And lastly, we thought it was quite pricey for what you got in the room ( $325 a night for the dates we stayed) We felt that maybe hotels are trying to make up for what Covid did to them last year.
