great place
We recently visited, and were told that the campground is under new management now. The service was wonderful. We stayed in a waterfront cabin. We could swim and paddle boat off of our own little beach. The unit was very clean. Linens were provided, and the beds were comfortable. We also rented a boat on site, which was great! We could walk from our cabin to the boat and come and go as we pleased. Check in and check out were fast and easy. Every one of the employees that we interacted with during our stay were very warm and friendly. Everyone wanted to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The only thing that I could find fault with was the size of the hot water tank in the cabin. It was only large enough for hot water for 2 people to take a quick shower. We are a family of 6, so we had to wait in between showers for the water to heat up. Or use the common shower, which isn't what you plan for when you rent a cabin. But, overall, great experience.

spend your money elsewhere unless you liked cramped camping
We rented site B10 and our friends rented site B9. We have to say in all our years of camping, we have never been so disappointed by our sites. We are literally in a ditch/ravine cramped between our campers, literally on top of each other and the campers surrounding us. There is little grass and we can't even set up our usual outdoor setting. On site B9, also known as the 'ditch', my friend has nearly fallen several times and twisted her ankle. On site B10, the stairs to my camper had to be held up by 2 blocks and a step stool was needed to reach the bottom stair. It was extremely dangerous; and yes, our 2025 Alliance was level and on the pad. We paid $604.94 for 4 nights for each site, so $1209.88 in total to sit on gravel in the shade of our cramped campers. In addition, the dog poop from a previous camper, that was found in 2 places on the very small patch of grass we had, limited our space. We feel deceived by the advertisement and pictures posted by this campground, especially since the price that was charged usually reflects a more upgraded and/or decent site. Since this is our only vacation of the year, it is disheartening to say the least. I would like reparations for misleading us to believe that we were camping on sites that were worthy of the price being charged, but I doubt the owners even care.

Beautiful views and world class management
Out first trip here and we are impressed with the management, service, site maintenance and sites. Beautiful views! The folks running this place are first class, incredibly nice and super accomodating. We tried to rent a boat for the day but the water was too rough for smaller boats, no worries we found plenty to do on and around the island. There is a putrid smell coming from the water in some spots and there are millions of little midges flying around 24/hr day. Neither the fault of those managing the place. Missing a star because there are plenty of places on the island that could be a great beach but they haven't tried maintaining them. Hoping they establish a maintained beach soon because we will be returning.

“Derek and the rest of the staff are absolutely amazing! They work incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly and always take the time to help campers with a smile. You can tell they truly care about the people staying here and about making this campground a great place for families. Their dedication doesn’t go unnoticed. We’re grateful for everything they do and look forward to many more great memories here

Amazing View and Lovely Staff
The location is quiet and has stunning views. We found the staff to be incredibly kind and helpful. We brought our fifth wheel, the sites were only slightly narrow-not tiny as some others have stated-but the sites also give you alot of space between your camper and the lake where they have composite picnic tables and large fire rings. I mention that because you are on the water and it can be windy, so that extra space between open flame and your camper is appreciated. The grounds themselves were immaculate, there was no trash in sight, the grass was promptly mown, and the laundry and bathrooms very very clean. Although there is no dog park the grounds are all paved with trash recepticles and waste bags throughout for dog waste. When we intially arrived it was packed, but it was still quiet, all other campers were respectful. We would absolutely return, and in fact are considering a long term stay next year. It should also be noted that this location had prior bad reviews but is now under new ownership and has much much better reviews. So please take that into consideration as we had the opportunity to talk to campers while there that had been coming there for many years and confirmed that the new owners are amazing in comparison to prior.
