VERY pleasantly surprised! Beautiful clean newly renovated room! Outstanding value for the money!

What a pleasant surprise! When it comes to Motel 6, I don't expect much because I know it is a budget motel and I needed a less expensive option because I was staying for 7 nights. But it was TERRIFIC! The room looked BRAND NEW! And it smelled BRAND NEW! And it was crystal CLEAN! Well maintained! Learned that it was newly renovated and I couldn't ask for a better Very woom for the price to spend 7 nights in! If you are traveling to New Jersey on a budget and need an inexpensive place to spend multiple nights in, I HIGHLY recommend this Motel 6, just off Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike, about half way between New York City and Philadelphia, and also the same distance to the beaches of the Jersey Shore as the distance between this motel and New York and Philadelphia. 5 WELL DESERVED stars!

Not awesome, but a good place to stay overnight while travelling.

This isn't a fancy hotel and it's basic. More of a Basic+ really but you're not getting anything but a place to stay for a night or two.
First of all, it's undergoing renovations. You can see that it's a work in progress and the room we were put in showed signs of being upgraded. So right there, that gives it a check in the plus column. It shows that this isn't a run-down hovel, it's actively being upgraded to more modern comforts.
The room we had was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable although I do suggest that if you like more in the way of pillow action...bring a set of your own to augment what they have. They're not as bad as some places that as soon as you put your head down on them they're so flat that a folded T-Shirt offers more support. These give more support, but I'm a two-pillow sleeper and these were a little less than I like.
Not to my liking of comfort, but not bad. I got a good night's sleep and that's what matters.
They also have a good WiFi service to the rooms. Good enough that I was able to download a 100gb game onto my Steam Deck in a reasonable time frame. So that right there make up for a lot.
Room has a microwave and a full-size fridge so if you're here on a business trip, you're able to get some good food from the local stores (Walmart is right down the road) and nuke up a decent supper.
All in all, it's not one of those nice places where you stay when you're on Vacation, but as an overnight or an extended stay for business...this place lives up to the promise of "We'll leave a light on for you."

This motel was o.k., mainly due to the staff. It looked like an old closed property that was recently re-opened...half motel and half monthly rentals. The restaurant was permanently closed. No fridge or amenities in the room. There was a microwave in the lobby and cheap coffee machine, but you had to drive from your room to the lobby to use either. The nearby town was awesome and it's close to the interstate, so the location was good. Rooms were very small and everything needed updating, but the staff was curteous.

The room and the water were actively cold, and smelled funny.
There is nothing wrong with an old motel, if it is clean and well maintained.
This was neither.

Booked a room with a hot tub and not only was it broken, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, ever. Black mould on the ceiling above the shower. Some dude tried selling me drugs while I was unloading my car. Definitely a sketchy place.
