Excellent stay!!

We were at Sunset, had been at Harbor side 4-5 years ago. We had an excellent stay. Love the remodeling- spacious, great furniture choices. Comfy beds as always. Ac worked perfectly. We had zero issues. Plenty of hot water. Gorgeous view from balcony. Saw dolphins a few times. Love they had separate washer and dryer. It is a pain when they are combined. Ge and had all sorts of settings- could actually have clothes dry on one cycle. Property is so well kept, beautiful landscaping. Seemed like there were alot of activities because I got the texts everyday but we were busy doing other things and didn’t join in on any of those. The barge for the fireworks were literally behind the condo. Probably the closest condo for the entire island. That was such a nice experience- we just walked down from our room and had comfy chairs to view. No crowds, no traffic to fight. The only weird thing is that their pool is very small. Other marriot properties where we have stayed had much larger pools. Location was superb- loved going through the marina and we rode bikes to sea pines and coligny, and rode other days to mitchellville. And all around palmetto dunes. Excellent stay- highly recommend!!

Beautiful resort but bring ear plugs

To allow the extremely loud riding blower used by the landscape company does not classify this property as a highly rated waterfront resort as advertised. The decibel levels are so extreme that the sound travels through the walls/windows or our unit to the point where we cannot even hear normal conversation. Until management resolves this problem through the Town of Hilton Head to eliminate the extreme noisy blowers that are clearly in violation of a noise ordinance, we are not likely to return.
We have stayed at several waterfront resorts and have seen that other landscape companies have switched to lower sounding electric blowers so that is the solution.

Nice quiet resort on Hilton Head Island.

We are Marriott Vacation Club Chairman’s Level Owners. We have four Villas at this resort for the week for our Annual Family Reunion. I was a little hesitant to book here since the property is not on a beach but our experience has been wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the Front Desk Clerk (Maria), who processed our arrival and room assignments was very professional, polite and pleasant to deal with. The property has gone through a recent refresh as the furnishings appear new and the Villas are in excellent condition. The resort is on the smaller side for a Marriott Vacation Club but our stay has been great. One of the added benefits is the Free Shuttle Van which will take you to the Shelter Cove area for shopping and dining and also over to the beach in Palmetto Dunes. The Shuttle is great, you simply call the number, tell them how many riders you have and your desired location. The Shuttle Driver taking us to dinner on our first night asked what kind of food we were looking for and provided recommendations for local restaurants. When you want to return to the property, you simply call the Shuttle number and they come and pick you up. This property has an abundance of activities for adults and children. Overall, we are very happy with our stay!

Shelter Cove describes it perfectly

Clean, friendly, quiet, comfortable. Great outdoor areas to relax and watch the sunset.

Miserable

What a disgrace! You can wait in the cold and the dark. There is no lobby. You are on your own.
You will pay for a hotel. But you will get no services. BEWARE!
