Great property and well maintained! We enjoyed the quiet location, but it was also close to town to enjoy dinner and shopping. The bikes were a great amenity, we used them daily!

We stayed in the pet-friendly family cabin. Location is wonderful close to town but not so close it is crowded or noisy. Wonderful amenities at the property, including cruiser bikes and kayaks!

So cute!

We stayed at the lodge with our 14 year old son and another family with two teenagers. The grounds are serene, amenities plentiful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. We were only there for one night but we were able to take advantage of the free bikes they provide as well as the s’more’s kits!
Adorable place to stay!

Absurd rip off / glorified motel

We checked in at 3pm. That was a nice experience. I let my child run around our room barefoot before we went to dinner and the floor was insanely filthy. His feet were black after running around 5 mins inside our room.
The next day we got the free breakfast. It’s seriously a blueberry muffin, bad coffee, and cereal. Oh and a bagel. Just bread bagel. No toppings. Nothing for an adult who is paying $600+ a night.
We left for the entire day. Got back at 2pm. No maid service. I asked and they told me they wanted to prioritize new people checking in. Not the current guest paying $600+ per night. Maids at any 4-5 star hotel address the guests rooms in the AM while they’re away. This is poor management. Not on the maids.
This place is a rip off. And don’t trust their “upgrade” they offer. All the rooms are exactly the same.

We’d stay again!

I stayed three nights with my husband, 11-year-old, and dog and had a lovely time. The hotel is definitely quiet. Think more of a summer camp in the woods vibe than sea coast getaway. The room itself was great. We did the bunk bed room and it was huge. I was disappointed there was no Keurig but that was the only thing missing. Some things were a little on the shabby side but still very clean so it didn't feel rundown. There was daily housekeeping which is a luxury these days.
The lodge is the center of the hotel and it had so much to offer: cornhole, foosball, shuffleboard, basketball. There was a scavenger hunt (with prize!) and nightly movie, as well as games to play and crafts. A daily breakfast was served and despite some reviews, I found it to be wonderful. Large muffins, breads, and bagels, yogurts, several cereals and juices, fruits and granola. Definitely enough to fill up until lunch. I think they even had coffee and tea all day, and bottles of water were always available by the pool.
The real highlights were the bikes and pool and the smores and candy bar. Smores kits are available for the fire pits every day. The candy bar is stocked with name brand, good candy so my daughter thought it was heaven. The pool was the perfect temperature, never too crowded, and there were pool toys to use for added fun. Bikes are available all day for use as well, but bring a helmet because there’s a limited amount. These are nice, high quality bikes and certainly not rusty loaners I was sort of thinking they might be.
My only complaint was the staff person at our check in seemed so disinterested that it was a little jarring. We went in the pool that night and despite a sign saying it closed at 9, this same staff member told us it closed at 8 and waited until we got out. There was a different woman there the next few days and she was warm and inviting, so that helped us feel better. (She also confirmed the pool does indeed close at 9).
Overall, even though it does seem a little pricey and there were a few things that could use slight improvement, we would definitely stay here again!
