Wonderful and a classic.

This Hotel is simply awesome. Excellent staff, cordial and informative and caring. Rooms are cozy and accommodating. The breakfast was really over the top. AND the Breakfast staff were "johnny on the spot always! Location is impossible to beat. We WILL return.

A Salvaged Weekend and a Wonderful Stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐★ (4.5/5)
​After a horrible experience in town at the Wild Iris Inn (which I highly recommend avoiding entirely), our trip to La Conner was completely saved by the incredible hospitality of the La Conner Channel Lodge.
​On our second day in town, desperately looking for an alternative, we stopped by the Heron Day Spa. While they didn't have any availability, their wonderful innkeeper gave us the brilliant suggestion to check with the Channel Lodge. We lucked out and were able to secure a King Suite at the absolute last minute, and we were thrilled from the moment we arrived. The grounds and the property are beautiful, and we felt incredibly safe throughout our entire stay. The other guests staying there were really sweet as well, which added to the great atmosphere.
​The Room
​Our suite was exceptionally clean and tidy—not a trace of dust or anything unsanitary in sight. It was incredibly comfortable, and even though it was booked as a "no view" suite, we were delighted to find it actually had a partial view of the water, the yacht docking area, and some private boat charters! The back deck area was a highlight, overlooking the indigenous Native American Park and the yurts across the canal.
​Thoughtful Amenities & The Blackout
​We also deeply appreciated how well-prepared the room was. Each room is equipped with extra blankets, pillows, towels, and—crucially—lamps. La Conner is prone to quick blackouts because the harsh local winds can easily knock trees into power lines, affecting the grid. We actually experienced a brief, hour-and-a-half blackout during our stay, and having those lamps and extra comforts readily available made it completely stress-free. It shows the property truly understands and plans for the local elements.
​Outstanding Hospitality & Staff
​The customer service at the front desk was top-tier, and the entire housekeeping and service staff are absolutely sweet and accommodating. They truly want to help you in any way they can to make sure you are comfortable. Every time you pass them in the hallway, they greet you with a smile—everyone genuinely looks happy to work there, which says a lot about the property.
​The Breakfast Experience
​The breakfast offered an incredible variety that gave us way more options than we were expecting! They had everything from yogurt, granola, and hot foods like sausages and eggs, to tea, juice, coffee, muffins, and danishes. We also loved that the dining hall gives you the option to eat either indoors or in a lovely outside seating area.
​As for the food itself, we definitely think the overall flavor needs some improvement. However, we absolutely loved the automatic pancake machine—that was a total "Jetsons moment" and a lot of fun to use!
​Areas for Future Renovation
​If I had to offer some constructive feedback for future physical updates, it would be regarding the bathrooms:
​Updates Needed: The bathrooms are a bit dated, and the toilet sits a bit too low.
​The Shower/Tub Setup: I would suggest upgrading to standalone jacuzzi tubs rather than having the shower water source connected directly to the tub.
​Fixtures: Installing adjustable shower heads that guests can easily angle, or a shower setup with a hose, would be a major upgrade.
​Overall Impression
​Despite the breakfast flavors needing a little tweak and the dated bathroom fixtures, we absolutely loved our accommodations. The comfort, cleanliness, variety, and stellar service more than made up for it. We are so grateful to the staff for turning our weekend around, and we will definitely be back!

Lovely Channel Lodge

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights ( 2+ 3) at La Conner Channel Lodge. What a delightful change from the hustle and bustle of Seattle. Our rooms overlooked the peaceful and serene Swinomish Channel where we sat with either coffee or a glass of wine to watch the boats and birds. The town of La Conner was full of interesting boutiques, museums, and restaurants all within walking distance down either First St. or the waterfront. Our rooms were clean and included robes, a fridge, fireplace, and complimentary breakfast each morning. No problem with any excess noise. The front desk workers were friendly and met any of our needs. And the hospitality staff cleaned our rooms each morning. We would highly recommend La Conner Channel Lodge and hope to return there in the spring for either the Daffodil or Tulip festivals. What a find! P.S, Ancorates is just a 20 minute ride away where you can catch a ferry to any of the 4 major islands: Orcas, San Juan, Shaw, or Lopez.

Kind staff

This is my third stay at the lodge in the past year as there are quite a few tourist activities in the area that interest me. The staff (specifically the breakfast buffet workers and maids) is extremely kind. I like that the rooms have views of the water and fireplaces for the winter. I also like the piano player in the evenings.

Lovely stay

Lobby now beautifully done, property well kept and in keeping with past experiences. Staff cordial and nicely attired.
