A pretty good experience, unremarkable, no major complaints

We chose Residence Inn over the adjacent Fairfield in order to have a suite, and our
experience was mostly good. The suite was nice, the hotel seems fairly new. The staff we met were friendly, the free breakfast was OK.
This Residence Inn was amazingly similar to another Residence Inn we recently visited on the east coast. Nothing wrong with that, although both lacked character, and both had odd features like confusing light switches in the kitchen.
The soundproofing between adjacent rooms was only OK -- our neighbor the first night kept their TV on until really late, we could hear its muffled sounds.
There is a restaurant across the parking lot, they can be crowded but offer a convenient take-out service.
Would we stay here again? Probably, although I didn't think the price was a great bargain for a nice-but-ordinary suite in a small town.

I was traveling for business and this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at -- the staff is so accommodating, the breakfast bar is much better than most, good coffee, the rooms are new and have everything you need -- lots of outlets, full kitchen (in the suite that I stayed in), good location, etc. Very clean. They mop the floors frequently and surfaces. It also doesn't have that strong post-covid cleaning smell that so many of these other chains. Highly recommend. It's conveniently located to University of the Pacific and Lodi.

Very comfortable and the rooms are so nice. Breakfast was yummy with lots of options. Staff was very nice.

Every staff member great. Breakfast great. Room a suite which was wonderful. The only problem was the bathroom lighting over sink awful. Husband had trouble shaving. I had trouble with putting on makeup. Needs much brighter and better lights. Especially for older people like ourselves.

Loud fans running all night long

If you like loud fans running in your suite all night long this is your place. You have no control over the loud fan in the bathroom or the loud fan in the kitchen blowing filthy recycled air into your suite all day and night. They are controlled by the hotel. They never turn off. I have asthma and had to check out on night one of what was supposed to be a four night stay. I would have had a full blown asthma attack had we stayed. The noise alone was enough to make me leave. They obviously aren't thinking about their guests. I have never stayed in a hotel where the hotel controls the fans. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not your place. Parking in front of the hotel is sparse. The restaurant across the way takes all the parking. The heater in the hotel is kept too hot. Walking through the halls felt like we were in a sauna. We spent one miserable night here. We will never return.
