I stay at this property every year and am never disappointed. The rooms are clean and I feel safe during my stay. I especially appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. It’s nice seeing the same faces each time I visit. Highly recommend!

Mixed bag: room was good, sleep was good but other areas need attention
The hotel was a real mixed bag...
The good: checkin was dead easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice big king bed, nice little sitting area, fridge, microwave, big TV with a channel listing ( thank you!). Quiet for a good sleep. Lots of convenient free parking. Very reasonable rate. All these items are critical stuff for a hotel -- that gave it the 3 rating.
The not so good:
- Front desk: when we checked in, all was good. But after that, everytime I walked by the front desk it was unattended. The person seemed to be hanging out in an office behind the desk maybe? Not sure if that is a new process? Noted that at the previous Comfort Inn we stayed at...
- Breakfast: I was down at 6am for a cup of tea, english muffin, and read my book while my husband slept in. The hot water for the tea was not very hot. I just microwaved the water instead. Things were pretty slow, to be expected at that time... but things definately picked up! The setup never included cereal. I saw it still on a table in the kitchen. There was a lovely older woman setting up but then she disappeared. I wonder if she got sick or something so the full setup was not finished?? At first things were refreshed, I did not see by who, but as it got later, the wheels fell off the bus. Muffins ran out , regular waffle mix ran out, then COFFEE RAN OUT! The lack of coffee created angst. A couple of us tried to find the kitchen person, but no luck. There was no one at the front desk ( I never saw anyone there all morning). Folks just moved on grumbling a bit...
- Smoking area: the door right by the microwave in the breakfast area leads to the pool (closed for the season) area. This area outside the door was the smokers hangout -- including several hotel staff. I don't know if this is the designated smoking area or not. Everytime the door opened, smoke wafted in. Yuck! Really? By the food? Please fix that.
- Elevator: one elevator was out of commission. No problem, it happens. When I went to get on the 2nd elevator to gather our stuff, there was a big bug on the floor. I let out an "eckkk" and promptly stomped on it. I saw nothing else that would lead me to suspect things were not clean. But still -- ewwww. Likely came in by that pool door... maybe he was trying to get away from the smokers...

Once we got to our room we were greeted by a rather large roach. A few minutes later his little brother appeared as well. Aside from the disgusting roaches the room appeared clean and well maintained, but, the roaches kinda ruined it for us. At the breakfast there was a large family/group with uncontrolled children who were making a huge mess of everything. They were loud, rude and pushing themselves in front of other people, I just finally gave up. Went back like 10 minutes before it closed thinking I may get a chance to find something and it looked a bomb went off in there. I don’t know how the hotel staff could have helped this except to maybe monitor large unruly groups?

You get what you pay for. Staff are nice and outside looks nice. Pool was fun. Room feels outdated and dirty. No smart TV so you’re stuck with cable. If saving money is a top priority, this is great. However, I’ve stayed in similar priced hotels that felt a lot better.

The room was clean for a one night stay with my family. Beds are a bit small and tub was clogged. Other then that staff were great and rapid service upon checkin
