The Lyle, a fantastic Hotel in Washington DC

Just spent a week in the beautiful boutique hotel The Lyle. We had a spacious room with 2 very comfortable Queen size beds, good mattress with lovely soft pillows. Daily the room was very well cared for and kept clean.
All praise to the staff at the Lyle, from porter, the cleaning and front desk, everyone was very friendly, interested and helpful. Delicious food in the cozy restaurant, from manager to waitstaff, bar and kitchen staff everyone was very friendly and we were welcomed as guests, very welcome.
The Lyle is located in a nice friendly neighborhood. Definitely recommended!!

Comfortable self-sufficiency

Quiet and comfortable set up and perfect for the self-sufficient traveler who doesn’t want to be fussed over. Torn about the bar & restaurant no longer operating as it might have been less quiet. I arrived by bicycle and was able to lock up in the fenced in patio (you cannot see through the fence) with no issue. Unfortunately the rooms are not accessible to those with mobility challenges as they are upstairs and this old, restored building has not elevator. Thoughtfully set up and I imagine that even when booked up there is plenty of common area to share, and indoors and out. Actual bike rack to lock up at would be nice as wood more hooks in bathrooms and rooms (my room had no closet). The trains make themselves known but I wasn’t bothered. Would return.

Love the Lyle!

Another fabulous stay at The Lyle, thanks on large part to Johnny Pelzer and the whole team. We’ve returned now for our third stay and the staff remembers us and greets us warmly and with care. From storing our bikes to making sure we had our drink coupons for the bar, not to mention beautiful rooms adjacent to one another. Kitchenette room was perfect for adult siblings to share with lots of room and amenities.

Communication comes from the heart.

I would like to especially thank Mr. Le at the restaurant as well as Ms. Hana for being so so kind to me.
I feel sick this morning, coughing and unable to speak (pharyngitis), yet they do not make me feel repulsive. Rather, they show their humane, kind eyes, making me feel comforted. Self-test COVID-19 yesterday and today both negative/masking procedures on, but not while eating.
So fond of this hotel staff!

Very good

The staff is so nice and the room have everything all is complete
Me and my family stay there for 3 days and it’s was nice and comfy
Even I meet someone from my country and even life at the same apartment as mine
Thank you Lyle hotel :)
