Convince

Went to stay and at first glance the room looked tidy and clean. Upon closer inspection the window by the door did not lock. Not only that but a 2 year old could easy hit the unlock button and wander out if not closely watched as there was no chain on the doors. The freezer handle on the fridge was broken. They did provide dishes however they were not paper or plastic and there was no sink besides the bathroom sink so...no way to wash? At one point I went to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and there was a random puddle of water on the floor. Not only that but we stores some bags under the bed that got "mysteriously" wet as well. Not to mention it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The pool looked small and overcrowded fast so we did not even try to go. In all honesty it was good only for location. It ranks about the same as ANY other motel in port austin that hasn't been "updated". Everything else about this is truly a joke.
It does NOT look like this picture.
OH and to add..AFTER we got home they charged use $15 for a "blood stain". When we asked for proof of the stain they sent a picture which neither of us recognized before we left which just leads us to believe they will do whatever to charge any cleaning fees they can.

Disappointed and grossed out

We stayed here for my birthday. Two nights. We were super wiped the first night and barely pulled back the covers before going to bed. Second night? We discovered someone else’s soiled mess in our bed.
I reported it immediately when I discovered it. Needless to say I was absolutely disgusted, knowing I had slept in that bed with that. While they did send someone to change the sheets, they offered us a measly 10% refund for the “inconvenience.”
Sorry but this isn’t an inconvenience. It’s a biohazard. Absolutely disgusting. And when I pushed back, they refused to budge.
The WiFi was also terrible and didn’t work in our room. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

We take cleanliness and our guests’ comfort very seriously. The room and linens were prepared prior to your arrival, and once you brought the concern to our attention, we immediately sent someone to replace the bedding. While we were unable to determine the source of the stain, we did our best to address the situation promptly and offered compensation for the inconvenience.
We’re also sorry to hear about the Wi-Fi issue. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it gives us an opportunity to look into the connection and improve the guest experience.
We understand that this experience was disappointing, and we’re sorry we did not meet your expectations.

The room was clean and seems to be recently upgraded. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful, but there is no onsite staff available and I am old and not accustomed to dealing with a computerized check in. I am certain that younger or younger minded folks will not find this a problem, but I like to deal with a person.

Wouldn’t come back

The place itself was nice. The room was cleaned and looked updated. This place is ran like an air B&B with no staff there to help with issues or check in. You cannot check in early at all because there’s no one there to help. We didn’t use the pool because there were people with a dog in the fenced in area. We were kept up later than we wanted because there was a dog that was left alone in the room barking constantly for hours. Without a staff member there to help it made this stay miserable. I prefer to stay at places with staff on site to help with things.
