Warm, Welcoming and Comfortable

We had a great experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Middletown and will absolutely stay here again when we return to the area.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, friendly and welcoming. They thanked me for being an IHG Rewards member, which was a nice touch, and were able to accommodate us with an early check-in. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked extremely well, which was especially appreciated on a hot August weekend.
Breakfast was also very good, with a nice selection of options and plenty to choose from.
The only minor issue was that the overhead light in the bathroom was burned out. We didn’t even notice until late that night, and it wasn’t enough of an inconvenience to bother reporting during our stay.
Overall, this was exactly what we wanted: a clean, comfortable hotel with a quiet room and genuinely helpful, friendly staff. We have family in the area and visit Middletown several times a year, so finding a reliable place to stay is important to us.
We’ve already decided this is where we’ll stay when we come back for Thanksgiving. Highly recommend.

Good choice when in Middletown

This is a very standard Holiday Inn express. It is clean, the staff were all very attentive and nice, and the breakfast was great.

Unprofessional Front Desk

Showed up with a confirmed reservation only to be told that my reservation was cancelled. Front desk agent gave no advice or apology for my troubles. When I asked if there was some place else I could stay in the area. He had no answer. I asked if there was someone I could talk to. He said I could call IHG. I asked for a phone number and he said I could “google it”.

Great Customer Service and Very Pleasant Staff

Stayed at the hotel for a family wedding. I booked 3 rooms and was hoping for an early Friday check-in. Andrea at the front desk was awesome!!! When I/we arrived the room(s) were not ready. She and the housekeeping staff pushed to get the rooms ready and within a 1/2 hour of our arrival the rooms were ready. The rooms were fresh and clean.
They had several weddings at the hotel and all weekend they were very pleasant and accomodating. I travel a ton for work and this was one of the best experiences i've had in a long time. Customer service is definatley at the forefront of their operation.

Get away

A great place for a couple day getaway. The outside was nice and clean and tidy. The lobby was inviting and nice and clean. All the personnel we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Out room was exactly what we were looking for; it was spacious and clean. We loved the bathroom with the large walk-in shower. The beds were nice and firm and you really didn't hear a lot of noise. We loved the fact of 24 hour coffee and we loved the machines getting fresh coffee at any time. The breakfast was great and a wide variety to choose from the mornings we were there. We also appreciated the housekeeping service everyday to get clean towels and trash emptied. Kudo's to the entire staff for a great stay.
