Excellent staff. Very clean room. My only complaint is that they need more fresh fruit at breakfast.

Only one night, then away

Compared to the expectation created by the website, the experience was disappointing. In particular the welcome: robotic, mechanical, and hurried on the part of the employee who didn't give us a smile even if we paid him, giving us the information in an aseptic and impersonal way, without even worrying about whether we understood what he was telling us or not. Upon the request to repeat because we weren't sure we had understood, he said the same thing again at the same speed. It almost seemed like he was reciting the rosary. A piece of advice for this type of receptionist: if you don't want to do this job, America is the Land of Opportunity, you'll see that you can find a job you like better, leave the position to someone else. Another point against it: despite having paid the total cost of the room months earlier at the time of booking, after check-in an additional charge appeared on the credit card. Even if it was just a few cents, it wasn't appreciated. The reception, needless to say, wasn't able to provide explanations. What else to add? Mediocre room. Poor breakfast. A total failure.

The hotel and the room were great our issues were with check in and housekeeping or the lack of it. Check in took forever because a large party had arrived just before us. That in itself is understandable but the lady that eventually checked us in was in the back office the whole time leaving her colleague to check in the large party and only appeared some 30 minutes later when the large party had gone to check us in. The issue with housekeeping is more of a corporate issue with Choice Hotels and their property operators who obviously discovered during the pandemic that they could get away with no housekeeping and thus reduce costs and staffing levels and now see no reason to reintroduce daily housekeeping which would hit their bottom line. We were told by the front desk at this hotel during check in that we would only get housekeeping on the third day but by the time we checked out after our 4 night stay that had never materialized but that may have been a counting problem because when we pointed this out to the front desk at check out there seemed to be some confusion as to whether day 3 would occur at all during a 4 night stay.

Great location if you just need a clean, basic place to sleep. The staff seemed unhappy-not friendly, no acknowledgment when someone enters the lobby, etc. but otherwise we had a decent stay.

Clean hotel within walking distance of nearly everything you need in Moab. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was fine. The pool was refreshing after a hot day of hiking in Arches.
