Beautiful cabin
We stayed three nights at the White Pine Cabin and it was beautiful. The cabin had a king size bed and a queen size in the loft. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. To sit outside at night and to see the stars was unbelievable. No light pollution here. Woke up to birds singing. We sat on the front porch and watched the sunrise. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, back to nature cabin, this is it. We will return.

Bait and switch with a one-sided "rental agreement" presented right before our vacation
As you are browsing VRBO / AirBNB etc., be on the lookout and avoid either "Canyonlands Lodging & Vacation Rentals" or "Jerry Murdock." They have vacation rental properties and cabins around Blanding Utah, Monticello Utah, San Juan County Utah, Canyonlands.
I reserved a vacation rental property with this company through VRBO in October. The property is managed by Canyonlands Lodging & Vacation Rentals. Rental was fully paid weeks in advance. Then eight days before the reservation, I received a very one-sided "rental agreement" from Canyonlands Lodging & Vacation Rentals. The contract includes extremely one-sided terms such as allowing the owner to enter the property at any time; allowing the owner to determine the amount of any damage to be deducted from security deposit; indemnity by me toward the owner if anyone is hurt on the property while I'm there (!!!!!); no liability for the owner if I am harmed by the condition of the property; agreeing to rules "posted" at the property that I have not yet seen; any dispute relating to the agreement has to be brought in this fairly remote section of Utah. I informed the property owner that the agreement is not acceptable and asked if I could still stay at the property without signing the agreement, or whether I could get a full refund. The owner would not agree to either. I believe this bait and switch amounts to consumer fraud. Canyonlands Lodging & Vacation Rentals is relying on guests who either don't read the agreement, OR hoping that people don't want to disrupt their vacation plans by disputing an unfair agreement presented in an unfair manner.
You can absorb some of the snarky attitude from their responses to negative reviews on this site.

Health Hazard
My husband and I stayed in a cabin here. The bed was a simple mattress set on a platform. Everything seemed ok until we woke in the morning to discover a mouse nest full of droppings in the corner inches from where my head had been all night. This prompted a closer look at the entire cabin which was full of mouse droppings. Owners insist they do clean cabins properly. Obviously not. Discussing. Don’t stay here.

What a Gem!
We spent 3 nights here and used it as a "central base" to visit several parks in the area and it worked out great! We couldn't utilize the fire circle due to the dry conditions...so we sat around the unlit circle after dark and looked at the stars. We saw deer wandering around...and cows. The directions to find the unit were excellent, as was all communication with the renters. The cabin was clean and very nicely done. We only had 3 people so there was ample room. Our best guess is that it would hole a LOT of family members. You just can't go wrong if you decide to stay here!

Horrible customer service
Jerry canceled our reservation a week before we head out there, leaving a 2 day gap in our week long trip. Airbnb is pretty much all booked out for the area we were heading. Seriously messed up to do that with no reasoning and a super short times notice to find other arrangements.
