Great Roadside Hotel Close to the City

Chose this hotel over others in the area we've stayed at before as my sister in-law just moved very close to here. We've also stayed at the Hampton Clarks Summit and the Hilton Scranton, and this is probably our least favorite out of the three, but we would stay here again as long as she still lives nearby. The front desk was very kind and we were able to check in about 3 hours early. We also got upgraded to a mountain view room which was nice to not be facing the highway. The rooms were a little more outdated than the other nearby Hampton, but still clean and spacious. Air conditioning worked well, we would have liked it a little bit colder but that's just the preference my husband and I have. I think most people would be happy with the level of cooling.
It's clear that this hotel is mainly used as a stopover for people driving through, and the parking lot got extremely packed at night. If coming in late it was pretty hard to find a space, we almost had to park in the next lot over. There were a lot of large vehicles and vehicles with trailers taking up extra spaces.
Breakfast was what you'd typically expect out of a Hampton, nothing spectacular but decent. I just grabbed a few items to take with me and the bagels were very good! Unfortunately although the sign is still up by the highway, the Italian restaurant behind the hotel is now an office building so there is no food in walking distance but there are plenty of options a short drive away.
Overall although this wasn't our favorite stay in the area, it didn't really have any problems and we would stay here again if it was still a convenient location for us, or if it was significantly cheaper than other options.

Bed Bugs July 2926

Bed Bugs! Room 204 July 18/19, 2026.
We stopped for a nights rest after driving towards New England to meet family. The hotel was busy and a little loud with teenagers but everything went smooth until 3am. My wife woke to use the restroom and she saw a big crawling. She got her phone and identified it as bed bug. She woke me and we checked the bed. There were at least 8 that we caught and put in a ziploc bag.
I went down to the front desk looking for help and nobody was at the desk. I called and let the phone ring while waking around looking for the desk staff. After 14 minutes, iPhones timer, I walked behind the desk to find the front desk employee asleep on the floor. I called out to no reply. I pounded on the door to the room he was sleeping in and woke him up. He at first didn’t believe me, I showed him pictures, then he told me there was nothing he could do because the hotel is full. I don’t want another room I want help with laundering and plastic trash bags and some assistance handling a situation that Hilton surely has a playbook for. I convinced him to call the hotel manage (J. Hickey) and she at least got us some quarters and laundry detergent to use the one laundry machine. We now have a months worth of clothing and personal possessions that we were taking to this family trip that we don’t know what to do with.
Frustrating and disgusting!!

We take reports involving guest comfort and room conditions very seriously. Our team addressed the concern immediately in the early morning hours by providing plastic bags for clothing and luggage, assisting with laundry supplies and quarters, and issuing a refund for the room. Although the hotel was fully occupied, we also offered assistance in locating alternative accommodations; however, you chose to remain in the room until the following morning.

This report does not reflect the experience we strive to provide, and we are continuing to follow our established processes to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our guests.

The first room that was assigned to us, the mattress was filthy. there were crusty stains and what looked like bed bug excrement in the stitching of the mattress. I went to the front desk to ask for another room and was offered the one next the first one. That one smelled like vomit, and the mattress was filthy as well. I reported the condition again to the front desk, to then be told there were no more rooms available, and that the hotel was booked solid. I was traveling with my family of and have 2 small kids and a small dog.

Been to several area hotels in Moosic that were 3 star rated, but this one was very disappointing. Stayed here due to my normal hotel being limited to two nights only the weekend I was in town. This property was older, dated, and didn’t feel particularly well kept. Understanding it is a 3 star place, there are much better options in the area for similar pricing.

Good Hotel Option Right Off the Highway

This is a pretty standard Hampton Inn, just off the highway making it super convenient when doing a road trip. The room was clean and a good size, though not huge. The bathroom was fine with everything working properly.
The check in was easy, the hotel staff friendly and they gave us a piece of paper with all the local restaurants. Although we did not use the pool, it looked quite large, with glass walls on 3 sides.
Finally, they do accept dogs, and although the fee was steep at $50 per dog (and ours is only 12 lbs!) it was nice to know that she was welcome there. They also had 2 dog waste stations near by to use when walking.
