They need to make sure the blackout curtains close fully. Ours (rm 430) did not.
Also need more USB ports by the beds. Maybe get lamps that have them instead of just the one on the clock radio?

Staybridge and Mukilteo was our favorite place to stay for many years as I would travel from where we live in Vancouver, Washington to see my father who lives near Paine field. As soon as I arrived, something felt different and I couldn’t put my finger on it. The first thing I did was asked person at the front desk if we could have a room similar to what we have had before, facing the outside to look at the trees. He just smiled and said here’s your room key. I think you’ll find it perfect. The room was not perfect and while it was clean, it was on the first floor and I asked to be on the third floor or the fourth floor. We were given the first floor, and though there were rooms available, I did not get a window facing the trees that we had always had each time we stayed.
Still, I thought that everything seemed the same until breakfast the next morning. I felt as though I was now in a motel 6. There was something apparently they called the “breakfast burrito“. Steamed, chewy tortillas that you could add a number of ingredients to such as chopped up bacon bits. There were no more options for protein, and I certainly did not want greasy, chopped up bacon, bits. There was no sausage, no hashbrowns, and nothing of interest except for the typical waffle or oatmeal suggestion, along with a couple of yogurt, cups, or cereal. Again, it seemed as the breakfast I remembered was not just replaced but a cheap, unhealthysubstitute.
The “friendly staff” I remembered is gone. Very sad.

To be honest, I was disappointed. I chose this hotel specifically because it had an EV charging station, yet I was unable to use it during my two-day stay. It would be helpful if you could increase the number of chargers or implement a scheduling system. I spoke to the staff about it, but their only response was that I had no choice but to wait, which was unfortunate.

The hotel is fine but has gone downhill

Stayed for a local getaway in May 2026, and also stayed several times previously in 2015, 2019, and 2022. I think this will be the last time.
The hotel is fine, but guests should be aware of how the place has gone downhill over time, since it used to be much better.
- There is no pool or hot-tub anymore. In fact, the area is now “the hangar”, which is a pub kind of area with overpriced food and drinks. In short they got rid of an amenity and replaced it with a cash grab, all while increasing the base price of the rooms.
- There is also no happy hour anymore, as far as I can tell.
- They added a $10/night fee for parking. This is not especially high of a fee, but is somewhat egregious since nowhere nearby charges for parking around Mukilteo since it is a suburban area. I don’t buy that it is because of the airport, I think they are charging it because they can.
- The area which used to I think be a movie theater kind of area is now “5x5” which is a bar. Like with the pool, they seem to have removed an amenity with some of the nicest space on the property, and turned it into a cash grab.
Overall, I still think it’s a nice hotel, and we had a good time. The place has gone from “great” to “good” though, and no longer has a resort-like feel the way that it did, so the overall value seems lower. I’m not sure if they got bought out by private equity or something, but that is the feel.

We rate this so called hotel as absolute ZERO. Smoke smell everywhere. Dirty rooms and low quality food. The staff and especially the manager does not understand the word hospitality.
We stayed only one night instead of 4.
Absolute nightmare. Don't go there.
