Great Stay
Excellent stay. Loved convenient location next to the Playhouse. Food at Stella’s was excellent. Staff was top notch.

Great Location, Courteous Staff & beautiful Amenities
We booked this trip for a mid week stay, luckily there was availability riverside. We were immediately impressed by how courteous and kind the staff was. The valet was respectful and informative, the front desk was accommodating and was always polite. The room itself was step up beautifully - we were able to stay in one of the corner rooms riverside so we had ample views and natural sunlight - including a balcony view. We chose not to open the balcony due to the hot weather and knowing the bugs would be out, especially riverside. But the AC controls and the climate was very responsive- for those like my better half - that are hot one minute and cold the next . The room itself felt clean and well maintained.
The location of the Inn was ideal, right in the middle of the main strip of New Hope.
And conveniently a block or two from the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge.
We enjoyed the exclusivity that the Inn offered - with only a dozen or so rooms. The complimentary breakfast was good & we did not have to worry about seating or getting enough food.
The pricing is fair considering the amenities that are offered here. We will surely be heading back in the future for a stay and would recommend the Ghost Light Inn to others!

Magnificent, hotel with a great view of the Delaware. Terrific staff, excellent restaurant, best in New Hope.
I was planning a surprise for my wife, our 57th anniversary. This was truly a great find! Ghost Light Inn was a perfect choice. Right on the Delaware adjacent to Buck's County Playhouse. We saw the musical South Pacific, GREAT!Magnificent handicapped accessible room, beautifully appointed, comfortable king size mattress, large bathroom. The restaurant, Stella, in the hotel deserves a separate review, and completed the Trifecta, dinner, show and overnight stay. We were so impressed with our weekend and our first visit to New Hope, that we are already anticipating our next visit. Absolutely the perfect place to stay!!!

This was the best stay of our life. We came in in rough shape from recent experiences and left totally renewed
What a beautiful area! Food is exceptional in the area and the included breakfast was superior.
Raz at the front counter would do anything he could imagine to make our stay better
We stayed in the carraige house with a view of the water.

Arachnid Wars
We stayed in Room 6 over the 4th of July weekend, Friday through Sunday. As expected, the room was spectacular, and the view of the river, fireworks, and drone show (with background lightning for extra fun!) was unparalleled.
That is to say, it was unparalleled AFTER we killed the SPIDERS! The room comes equipped with a Juliet balcony with a glass door that folds in half to get fully out of the way. It is backed up by two sliding screen doors intended to keep the bugs out. The screen doors are even equipped with a “keep these closed to keep the bugs out” sticker. All was well until we opened the glass door.
Upon opening the door, approximately 20-30 medium to large sized spiders, all of whom were camped on the INSIDE of the screen doors, rushed us in a pack. I got busy with a washcloth and dispatched the first wave, only to encounter the Special Operations group, who came rappelling out of the track holding the screen doors- again on the INSIDE- and met their fate as quickly to the self-same washcloth, with some boot work added. Upon inspection, the entire frame and track for the screen doors was heavily infested with all manner of spiders, spider babies, nests, etc. Again, and I can’t emphasize this enough- on the INSIDE of the screens. Don’t even get me started on what was going on on the outside of the screens!
With the ground troops and SpecOps groups dealt with, we closed the glass door and retired, assuming we were safe. An hour later, while watching Wednesday of all things, the Paratroops arrived in the form of two large spiders assaulting us from the CEILING OVER THE BED! I put paid to them with a handy towel, and, after another careful inspection of the room, we went to bed hoping the war was won.
Upon check out, we relayed our experience to the nice man at the front desk. I wish he had been a bit more receptive to our concerns- he reported that they were well aware of the spider problem, and that they took regular steps to control them, however it didn’t really feel like he was hearing us when we indicated that, for the price paid, a spider infestation was unacceptable. He also said, and I paraphrase, “it’s not something we can put on the website.”
Well…I can, and just did!

Being located along the river means we do face seasonal insect and spider activity, but that should never result in the level of infestation you described. Since your visit, we've reviewed the room with our housekeeping and maintenance teams and are taking additional preventative measures, including a thorough inspection and treatment of the balcony door and screen assemblies. We do these inspections daily to ensure rooms are insect free at check in but unfortunately when the glass doors are open, they get through the cracks in the screen doors.
We're also sorry that you left feeling your concerns weren't fully acknowledged. We take all guest feedback seriously and are using your comments to improve both our room maintenance and how we respond to concerns when they're reported.
