Attempted break into our room, NO SECUIRTY!
While my family and I held the door shut, we called 911. Six police cars arrived and detained two individuals—an African American man and woman. When we went to the front desk to check out, we found the night watchman asleep at the desk throughout the entire incident. He apologized, admitting that the cameras were not operational and that he had not seen anything.
The lack of working security cameras, the absence of security guards, and a sleeping night watchman turned this into a terrifying experience for my wife, daughter, granddaughter, miniature poodle, and me. I have been staying at Motel 6 for over 50 years, but never again.
Thankfully, because Vice President J.D. Vance was attending a wedding nearby, there was an increased police presence, and officers responded swiftly. This entire ordeal could have been prevented with proper security and a more vigilant night watchman.

Travelers Beware (Roaches!! UNSAFE! Unfriendly Staff!!
Checking in to the Motel 6 in Oceanside was a very disappointing and disgusting experience when it comes to customer service and proper treatment as a paid customer.
I had a late check in, I was extremely exhausted from traveling and my room also had a smell upon entering and the bathroom had previously used toiletries (women's used bottle of douche and dirty razor blades which I didn't notice until I got out of the shower but I calmly addressed the issues with the front desk the next morning because I had to stay one more night hoping I can switch rooms.
Unfortunately they front desk was hostile saying I should have told them that night which wasn't 2am and not understanding and even the cleaning lady who was also conveniently in the lobby said she clean my room and then had the nerve to say I was lying by saying the bathroom color was not same color yellow in my room I checked in and even asked me to show her which I did and then she even apologized!
I also asked the manager to switch rooms but they said they were sold out and declined and were very much rude about it. The room was on the bottom floor which was also very noisy and I didn't get any sleep due to other people stomping and dropping stuff above me.
The other woman who claimed to be another manager I dealt with upon check out was extremely rude and hostile and did not address my complaints professionally even after making me show her the pictures and dates of them as if she didn't believe me.
This property is also old, the doors in the balcony or faulty and holes In the bedsheets and shower curtains and the balcony door was also broken and unsafe. I also told the cleaning lady not to worry about going into my room since I had my pet cat but when I left and came back she had appeared to have came in and cleaned while my pet was left alone with her in there!!
After all of the treatment I received overall it was quite disturbing, unsanitary and disgusting and I never want to experience that again.
I am also writing this because the problem has not been solved since they refused to answer calls and emails.
They also said I could get a refund but then refused after dodging Agoda's (Booking) phone calls and lying about not receiving their email requests and this problem has still not been resolved.
This property needs to be shut down and reported!
