PETS DO NOT STAY FREE AT MOTEL 6

Motel 6 is known for its "Pets Stay Free" policy. My confirmed reservation clearly stated the policy. However, upon check-in at 6:00 p.m., the Peoria unrenovated Motel 6 had a sign on the desk requiring a $15 pet fee, so I paid the room and pet fee thinking that I could correct the problem later. We had a reasonably comfortable stay and left early the next morning. I called Motel 6 Customer Service and was told that the Motel 6 in Peoria is claiming that they charged for "property damage" so that they cannot help me. The Motel 6 Peoria is lying; there was absolutely no property damage by me or my dog. Motel 6 is taking no responsibility for this violation of their "Pets Stay Free" policy. After being a loyal customer for several years, I no longer trust Motel 6 and will cancel my future reservations.

BED BUGS.
This location is absolutely disgusting. There's dried pet urine all over the hallways, and the whole place stinks of urine and smoke.
Our room hadn't been cleaned in what looks like a long time, with dirt and debris all over the floors, mold all over the shower curtain, dirty sink, and dirty surfaces. We found a bed bug on our bag the day after coming home, so there now may be more in our house, too.
The staff clearly doesn't care, and SOLO TRAVELING FEMALES BEWARE: the front desk says your room number out loud with the windows wide open, plus the side entrance lock is broken so anyone can come in at any time.

Horrible communication and customer service

If I could give 0 I would. I cannot comment on the actual property but what I can comment on is their customer service. I was on a flight through Expedia from LAX to ORD changing to a plane to Peoria my final destination. I wa supposed to arrive in Peoria at 11:45 pm and let the Motel know I would be late. The LAX to ORD flight was so delayed that I was stuck in chicago until the next morning. I informed the motel we would not be checking in. Didn't hear back. No refund. I contacted corporate Motel 6 and they said I was listed as a "No show" and there was nothing they could do except contact the property directly. I have attempted to contact the property the last week and no one has gotten back to me. I paid $117 for a room I never got to use and it was not because I was a no show...I alerted them that my flight I was going to be stuck in Chicago until the next morning.
Normally I would let things like this go..but I am tired of constantly being gouged and charged for every little item. I decided to write a review because I may not get my money back but perhaps my review will steer customers away from them int he future. Of course if they see this and wish to make it right I will glady update my review.

Holes in sheets. No shampoo just bar soap. hallway had loud guests most of night! Only 2 plug ins in whole room.
