like a hotel, only nicer

I liked the calm, cool-looking feel of the place. When you're traveling there are a lot of things that nag at you, dealing with planes or traffic or needing to be somewhere at a certain time or getting kinda lost or having trouble finding food or a pharmacy or whatever. You need to stay at a place that lets you breathe easier, and that's this place.
Like a little oasis.
The neighborhood's on the up but it's not upscale, a couple of good restaurants close by, though, on 7th and Montebello. I went to a conference in Phoenix, it was really nice to have a place that was so peaceful and easy to go to at the end of the day. Thanks!

Disappointed

When we first arrived, I thought this place looked amazing. I went out to the hot tub and pool which were ok. The yard looked like it used to be well kept, but now a bit overgrown with lots of leaves and older worn cushions. Our room had a chlorine/mildew type smell and the bed sat very low on the floor. The grapefruit tree outside our room smelled amazing, luckily there were chairs there and so we sat outside our room. The bathroom in our room was nice, the shower amazing. But when I went to turn on the sink faucet there looked to be dark mold around the ball where the water came out (modern fixture). Lastly we booked this place thinking a breakfast was included. It is not. There was a “honor” bar system with a few cereal/oatmeal cups and granola bars. Even the kcups were 1.00. Even the Airbnb’s I’ve used those were complimentary. We also never saw an owner or keeper. Kinda strange

Cozy neighborhood spot

Jerome room was a perfect place for my girlfriend and I to spend our first weekend in PHX. Host was gracious and had our room ready early. Loved the funky decor...reminded us of our favorite bnb's in the Caribbean. Room was clean and well appointed. Peaceful vibes with plenty of privacy, but the common areas were great for mingling with other social travelers.

Strongly recommended

Very relaxing stay. They had everything we needed available, and we had plenty of privacy. This is perfect for a couples getaway, or for a change of pace if you're just sick of hotels. I will definitely come here again next time I stay in Phoenix.

Just ok

It was ok and we were glad to be near the airport and places to eat. The owners were very polite and friendly. But we didn't really feel comfortable because it felt kind of run down and not clean. The neighborhood felt plenty safe. Just be sure to confirm your passcode to enter the front gate and to your room before you arrive.

Wow we're surprised for the "just ok" not sure if run down and not clean was meant for outside since this stay had happened when the monsoons raining and winds blowing debris from our trees, bamboo and banana trees in the past few weeks can feel worse than it is.
Cleanup after the storm weather is a lot to do and sorry you got in the middle of that time. We work hard to keep the rooms and main house very clean and never had any indication of something not meeting your expectations in your room, even after checking with you during your stay.
We are really glad you did find a lot of restaurants you liked, and there are plenty, also having a safe neighborhood to stay in and get around to many places that are centrally located near us.
About the codes we provided for access which is sent in the very first communication of a booking. We detail how to use the code to our gates and your room which is very simple. We also send a second confirmation 3 days prior to arriving and text on the day of your arrival the details of the code and getting in safely. These codes are maintained to provide safe access and not allow anyone else to have access without giving the code to them.
We do hope for you to have many more great travel experiences in many places and find and explore and we are glad to have been a part of those memories by staying with us!! Thank you !!
