Bed Bugs July 2926
We stopped for a nights rest after driving towards New England to meet family. The hotel was busy and a little loud with teenagers but everything went smooth until 3am. My wife woke to use the restroom and she saw a big crawling. She got her phone and identified it as bed bug. She woke me and we checked the bed. There were at least 8 that we caught and put in a ziploc bag.
I went down to the front desk looking for help and nobody was at the desk. I called and let the phone ring while waking around looking for the desk staff. After 14 minutes, iPhones timer, I walked behind the desk to find the front desk employee asleep on the floor. I called out to no reply. I pounded on the door to the room he was sleeping in and woke him up. He at first didn’t believe me, I showed him pictures, then he told me there was nothing he could do because the hotel is full. I don’t want another room I want help with laundering and plastic trash bags and some assistance handling a situation that Hilton surely has a playbook for. I convinced him to call the hotel manage (J. Hickey) and she at least got us some quarters and laundry detergent to use the one laundry machine. We now have a months worth of clothing and personal possessions that we were taking to this family trip that we don’t know what to do with.
Frustrating and disgusting!!

We take reports involving guest comfort and room conditions very seriously. Our team addressed the concern immediately in the early morning hours by providing plastic bags for clothing and luggage, assisting with laundry supplies and quarters, and issuing a refund for the room. Although the hotel was fully occupied, we also offered assistance in locating alternative accommodations; however, you chose to remain in the room until the following morning.
We also reviewed the appropriate procedures with you and want to assure our guests that we have protocols in place for handling concerns of this nature. This report does not reflect the experience we strive to provide, and we are continuing to follow our established processes to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our guests.

Good Hotel Option Right Off the Highway
The check in was easy, the hotel staff friendly and they gave us a piece of paper with all the local restaurants. Although we did not use the pool, it looked quite large, with glass walls on 3 sides.
Finally, they do accept dogs, and although the fee was steep at $50 per dog (and ours is only 12 lbs!) it was nice to know that she was welcome there. They also had 2 dog waste stations near by to use when walking.
