Excellent service! Great Experience!

The location! Parking option ! Walking distance to the Farmers Market, Access to sky train to Seattle Space Needle. Hotel staff, Front desk, Dinning room, breakfast Option! Clean ! Welcoming! So much to do!

A three-star experience

With one exception, I liked my top-floor room. The exception was that the blackout curtains didn't close completely. I called the front desk and they said they'd look for someone to send up, but apparently no one came while I was away that day. I eventually figured out that I needed to pull the chain hard to close the gap. When I called the front desk to let them know I'd found the answer, they said they're aware that some rooms have this problem.
Calling the front desk was also a problem. When I pressed that button on the room phone, I got a "fast busy" signal; that usually means there's something wrong. I guessed that dialing zero would work and it did. The button for room service also rang fast busy, so I called the front desk and asked to be transferred.
The room-service breakfast was a plate heaped with hot, tasty food and a bowl overflowing with fruit. I thought it was well worth $30 (including extra charges).
The weekend breakfast buffet wasn't what I expected. Instead of being in the spacious restaurant, it was unattractive and set up on small tables in a couple of small rooms. I ended up at the Sheraton (a block and a half down 6th Avenue), which had a beautiful spread of food in a large, attractive room.
To top it all, one morning we got a text message at 5 AM to say that the elevators weren't working. That meant walking down and upstairs about 15 floors. The text message didn't apologize, and the greeting was "Hello" instead of something courteous like "Dear Coast Hotel Guest".
I expected better for this price.

Overbooked

Wish I could give this hotel negative stars.
Booked a room in advance, showed up to check in, and was told they had overbooked and didn’t have a room for us.
We asked for a refund, but instead they told us they’d find us another hotel. That turned into three hours of sitting in the lobby waiting while they tried to figure it out. After about two hours they finally found another hotel, but the entire situation was handled terribly.
The staff was unhelpful, communication was poor, and there was no sense of urgency for a mistake that was entirely on the hotel.
If you value your time and want confidence that your reservation will actually be honored, I’d recommend staying somewhere else.

A very good option in Seattle

The hotel is well-located, close to various attractions such as the Columbia Tower Sky View and the Museum of Illusions (which is on the same block), as well as Pike Place Market. There are many nearby dining options, convenience stores, the Convention Center, and car rental agencies. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. I stayed on the 27th floor, and it was very quiet. The hotel staff was very attentive. However, I found the breakfast service a bit slow, and the food (à la carte) fell short of expectations.
I would stay there again.

Big clean room. Restaurant was convenient. Great location walking distance to a lot of restaurants and attractions.
