property is magnificent. spa is lovely as is the restaurant. food was ok -- but the restaurant itself was fabulous.

Don't waste your time

Finally got the opportunity to use a gift card. I booked two services. The staff is so welcoming and kind. The place seems nice at the start. My facial was pleasant but not worth the price. The "quiet" lounge relaxation space was terrible. People on their phones watching videos with sound on, people having conversations on their phones, groups talking loudly.... tried my hardest to tune it all out- I couldn't. Before my second service, women in the locker room taking selfies... so no private space to change, you have to use the changing rooms. I felt like there was no relaxation had this day. I had lunch between services- salmon with a dill sauce (soggy skin, underseasoned dish as a whole- I didn't even finish it). Lost my appetite with all the flies (I know, there's access to the outside, but I really don't want to fend the flies off my food). My "walk through the forest" service was not what I expected. You have to shower and shower again, and shower one more time if you like. Most of my service was spent showering, drying off, and getting up and on the table. There was no relaxation because there was no time to relax. The sugar scrub felt like literal sand paper against my skin-- it hurt. Finally, to the women who made fun of the man napping and slightly snoring, shame on you. I still have money left on my gift card and I wouldn't go back.

An Old Dungeon

Our room was dark like a dungeon. Old style, and outdated. The bathroom was very dark and the shower was very old style. I couldn’t believe this was $800 per night! The grounds are beautiful- stunning gardens, flowers, and a koi pond. The restaurant food and staff is good. But parts of the lobby have an old, musty, and damp smell. This was not my favorite stay.

As for the room, our accommodations are designed around the rustic, old-world character of a traditional Provençal country inn—the deeper tones, vintage fixtures, and heritage-style bathrooms are intentional, not oversights. We understand that style isn’t for everyone, and we appreciate your honest feedback.

Nice hotel.

Lovely hotel. Easy parking and check in. Lots of water stations which is great! The hotel however is very tired and in badly need of repairs and paint! Rooms were large and the a/c worked. Comfy beds.
Spa is nice but my masseuse had badly shaking hands. I was very uncomfortable and had to ask her to stop and I need another therapist.
Heidi the manager came in and told me that Trudy had just finished a 100 minute massage on a very large man and had overworked her hands. They had no other therapist to fill in and they offered me a free facial. Which I took which was ok.
I was very disappointed. I could see Trudy’s hands shaking so why didn’t she tell management that she was not up to the task of my 100 minute massage?
Not good, won’t go back.
