It was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful poor breakfast girl though was working all by herself during graduation weekend that did not seem fair but she did a good job

$500 a night (due to demand for rooms) for an awful experience

I happily paid $500 a night in June for my daughter's graduation. For that amount (which I had no problem paying because every hotel was in demand at this time of year), I would have expected beds without springs pushing into our backs (not just 1, but both), housekeeping, clean towels, and the shower amenities to be filled. I stayed for 3 nights, and my room was never cleaned. We called housekeeping every day, and there was no answer. I was told the room was cleaned every other day, which means on Tuesday the room should have been cleaned. I will admit that on Monday we were out for breakfast and then back to get ready for the graduation, so the do-not-disturb sign was on the door. However, the next morning we called housekeeping for service, and again, no answer. We left for the day, and nothing. If the room is only cleaned every other day, that would be the day it was due to be cleaned. I had to go to the front desk and beg for clean towels. This is unacceptable.
I contacted Marriott, and the hotel has deposited 25,000 Bonvoy points into my account (as stated in the hotel manager's email), which is equivalent to a half-night stay at a Marriott property. Unacceptable. I asked for a refund for a portion of my trip, but they refused. For $500 a night, this is what I got. I would hate to see what you get at their regular rates.

After carefully reviewing your concerns, we acknowledged that your experience fell short of the level of service we strive to provide and issued 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points as a goodwill gesture. While we understand you were hoping for a partial refund, we determined that the compensation already provided was appropriate based on the circumstances.
Graduation weekend is one of the highest-demand periods of the year, which is why room rates are significantly higher across the market. Those rates reflect supply and demand rather than the level of service or quality guests should expect. Regardless of the rate paid, every guest deserves the same high standard of hospitality.
Our records also showed that there were periods during your stay when your room was unavailable for service due to the Do Not Disturb sign, which unfortunately limited our team's ability to provide housekeeping at those times. We recognize that there was still an opportunity for us to communicate more effectively and better respond to your requests, and for that we sincerely apologize.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify opportunities to improve. We wish you and your family all the best and hope your daughter's graduation was a memorable and joyful occasion.

Very nice stay. Room was comfortable and clean, parking great. Breakfast closes at 10, my only complaint.

This hotel was clean and comfortable but overall my stay was very odd, which is why I'm giving a lower number of stars than I might normally give a Marriott hotel.
First of all, the amount that i was charged does not match the amount on the receipt that I was emailed. It's about $30 more, and I'm assuming it's because I was charged for breakfast, even though I paid extra for a breakfast voucher.
Also i tried to order a beverage at the bar, but the cocktail wasn't available on their POS system. I shrugged and ordered a second option, which also was unavailable on the POS. Giving up, i walked to the gift shop to pick up some forgotten essentials... and THEY weren't on the POS system either. The first time was easily forgivable, the second time it was annoying, but the third time had me walking away, shaking my head, wondering why they were even pretending to sell things if people couldn't actually have them.
When i got into the shower, there was zero conditioner, and I was also disappointed to find that there weren't any SD ports in the room for easy charging.
There are a lot of very good things about this property too! The pool was smaller, but clean and comfortable with an abundance of fluffy towels. The location is great, my car was parked safely for the night, and our room was overall pretty comfortable.
The restaurant was pretty good too! They have a smaller menu but everything on it looked good. I will most likely (warily) try staying at this property again sometime.
