Historic Inn
This historic inn offers lovely rooms for overnight guests as well as a banquet area for private receptions or events. The furnishings and decorations are beautiful and there is much attention to detail. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The jacuzzi tub was a nice treat. The little kitchenette has a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator if you want to bring snacks. (no food or beverages on site)
Unfortunately the refrigerator was super noisy and sounded like a jet engine during the night. Also the AC cooling system has loud fans in the bathroom and can't be turned off.
There is a nice patio outdoors with tables and chairs. Unfortunately the seat cushions had been left outside in the rain so they were too soggy to sit on.
We love to see these historic mansions kept up and used, and hope this one will continue to be well maintained for many years to come.

AMAZING boutique hotel EXCELLENT Views, GREAT price and wonderful Owner. A must stay in Springfield IL !!!
Springfield Illinois was my last stop on my 14 state plus Canada business trip. There were no available hotels in the entire city as there were 3 events happening that day. I called The Pasfield home thinking it was a "regular" hotel only to hear it was a boutique hotel with 5 bedrooms with 1 room left that has a balcony and a soaking tub. At just a little higher rate than the sleezy hotel I went to see and refused to stay (would rather have slept in my car than stay at that hotel. it was unsafe and the room and hotel were horrible, bed that had no springs left in it) I left I called Molly. Thank goodness the room was still available. It was meant to be for me to stay at this amazing mansion overlooking the capital; as had just I spent days in Springfield visiting everything Abraham Lincoln. While at the Pasfield hotel I learnt Mr. Pasfield was a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln and financed the presidents campaign (run) for president when Lincoln became president of USA. What are the chances?
Molly the owner was GREAT, quick response to my call to book the room; met me at the home despite having friends there that could have let me in. She patiently waited for me to get there ( I was not far away) and gave me the key and advised me of the room and services.
The view is stunning, the home is AMAZING since I arrived at night I mostly saw the back yard which was so inviting and beautifully done and decorated. Being able to go out on the balcony and enjoy the view despite the cold was a great. The bedroom was wonderful, great space with a large very comfortable bed, a table to get my work done (for business) and a gorgeous bathroom where she kept the old charm but all modern. It has its own kitchenette with an icemaker, microwave and fridge. Everything I ensure I have for my hotel stay.
She had such personal touches, robes for guess, wonderful toiletries done in style and beautifully package with the logo and extra soft bath towels. I felt as If I was in a luxury hotel. It also had scented mist in little bottles for you to spray on the pillows for an even better night sleep. Each room has its own name, I was in the Bitsy room
You were able to control the heat or air conditioning which was great. The HIGH speed Wi-Fi was the fastest I had my entire 2 months on the road. It WAS lightening fast where it uploaded a RAW file in seconds. This was an issue of having sufficient Wi-Fi in every hotel even when they list it as high speed. A RAW file would take 3 -5 mins to upload.
The home is as you would expect from a mansion built in the 1896. Molly ensure to keep the character, history and charm of this amazing home. The bathrooms were filled with whimsy and added a great lightness to the formal home.
Molly told me I could explore the home despite arriving at 1am and that I did .
Then I met her friends Ralph and her girlfiend (sorry forgot her name) were outside on the balcony chatting with another guest who also had a room there. You can tell a lot about a person by their friends and these guys were they were so kind. I was given the tour of the home and educated on the history of the home. I saw some amazing wallpaper hand drawn by a friend of Molly and some artwork that looked like photographs. The folded paper in the front room was so creative and beautiful.
The next day I was able to tour the outside of the home and it did not disappoint. Beautiful wooden doors that are original , very large front porch and inviting side lounge area.
Ample parking in the yard.
I will stay again when I visit Springfield, this is a MUST visit hotel that is minutes away from everything . Great location and amenities and event space.

Beautiful Historic B&B
My husband and I lived in Springfield for many years, and we come back frequently to visit friends. This time we decided to go a little crazy and book a place rather than just couch hop, and had been hearing from friends about this new Inn called Pasfield House opening up. We gave it a try, and it was such a great decision! The house recently opened and is still finding its groove with things. There’s only two rooms currently available to book, but we stayed in the Capitol Room, and it was gorgeous! It has a beautiful modern kitchenette, a wonderful jacuzzi for couples to take advantage of, and an incredible view of the Illinois Capitol building. Not only was the room great, the parlors guests are allowed to access are so fun and really add to the feel of it being a historic home. I highly recommend staying here. The room was clean, the staff were beyond friendly, and we had a great stay in a town we already know and love! Thank you so much for such a wonderful trip experience!

WOWIE ZOWIE
Wow! This is here ?! I was transported back in time- gorgeous hand painted walls, gold leaf trims in the main room, restored wood everywhere, two lounges that were beautiful - this is truly the jewel of springfield. Molly was so kind and fun! We stayed in birds nest- so great it comes with jacuzzi, kitchenette and balcony! She let us buy a couple bottles of wine! We had a beautiful view of the capital . She provides local pastries in the morning, local coffee and teas all for free! I love when places go out of their way to choose local. We played hard and slept hard - will def always choose to come back here. Her staff makes a reeeallly good espresso martini! We will be back !!

Old Mansion a work in progress
This old mansion is a work in progress. The new owner is working to make it a bed and breakfast. Right now the only breakfast is a cinnamon roll available in the mini-fridge and a microwave to warm it up. There was also a coffee maker in the room. This house had a interesting history and I'm glad someone is trying to keep it going.
Our room was very comfortable, although the old windows let in a lot of cold air. Unfortunately there was a grandfather clock right outside our door that chimed every hour, so I was awakened every hour. It was not the correct time however.

Hi Kathy! I’m so happy your room was comfortable, despite the old windows. All rooms have their own thermostat, extra heater and extra blankets for that reason.

Since you booked on booking.com, it clearly states “no meal provided”. At no charge to our guests, we feature local businesses for light breakfast. Yellow Bird Cafe’s Cinny and pecan rolls are delish with a quick melt of the gooooey icing. I hope you enjoyed them! Your room features locally roasted coffee by the Aviatory Coffeehouse, Yellow Bird Cafe and custom teas by Whimsey Tea. Nespresso machine in the hallway is a life changer.
