I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Nittany Lion Inn while in State College for Penn State’s summer semester graduation. Staying here made an already special weekend feel even more memorable.
The Inn is beautiful and does an amazing job of blending its historic Penn State charm with a modern, elegant atmosphere. Everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. My room was extremely clean, comfortable, and relaxing, which was exactly what I needed during such a busy and exciting graduation weekend.
The staff was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The location is also perfect for anyone visiting Penn State, especially for graduation, since you are so close to campus and right in the heart of the Penn State experience.
Graduating from Penn State was a major milestone for me, and staying at The Nittany Lion Inn was the perfect way to celebrate the occasion. There is something special about being surrounded by so much Penn State history and tradition during such an important moment.
I would highly recommend The Nittany Lion Inn to anyone visiting State College, whether for graduation, a football weekend, a campus event, or simply a getaway. I truly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely choose the Inn again the next time I’m in State College. We Are!

Overall the hotel is beautiful but service wise they need some direction. They were out of conditioner, there was no mini bar and the movies were not available.

Love the hallway/lobby with the many seating areas and books. Its elegant and peaceful. Check-in was seamless. The layout of of the rooms is a bit confusing at first but you get the gist of it. Overall a wonderful stay

Beautiful from afar, but very dirty up close

We came to the Nittany Lion Inn because we read the great reviews. We were impressed by the photos online and when we drove up in the evening, the hotel looked absolutely gorgeous. The lobby looked beautiful in the room looked great for the first few minutes.
Went to take a shower and we’re greeted by Hair’s that were not our own on the floor and in the shower. Lots of dirt and crumbs on the floor in our hotel room. Next morning my husband went to have coffee and sit in the lobby and read the newspaper. Plenty of crumbs there as well… Not to mention the ants that were feasting on the crumbs. Don’t get me started on the “please make up my room” sign… it was a sticky mess. See photos so you know what I’m talking about.

The staff at check-in were wonderful and very welcoming. However, the bathroom had hair on the floor, and the extra sheets in the drawers were dirty. Overall, though, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location.
