We checked in Suburban studio while back home from Florida. the room was clean and desk clerk was very kind.

We check in suburban studio at orangeburg, warming welcome, quick check in, staff was so nice and helpful. only not like, not allow breakfast.

First impressions can be deceiving, not clean!
At first didn't seem too bad especially for the price. It didn't take long to see how incredibly dirty the room was. The microwave, the refrigerator inside and out, the TV, the headboard, and the mirrors all had greasy smudge marks. The wall next to one of the beds was very dirty and the bathroom wall had brown smudge marks above the toilet paper roll.
I couldn't find the TV remote so when someone from housekeeping came to help find it (it was under a mattress) I pointed out the dirty mirror on the bathroom door. He said it was just paint (it wasn't) and to show me, he tore off some toilet paper from the roll and dipped it in the toilet water! To "clean" it! He didn't even look to see if the water in the toilet was soiled or not. I asked him to stop several times and he kept saying in broken English "no, I clean it". I kept telling him that you're not cleaning it, you're using toilet water. He seemed confused that I had a problem with him using water from the toilet to clean.
Also, the sheets and pillowcases were wrinkled and had a yellowish color looking like they weren't washed correctly. Luckily, I had my own sheets and travel with them for this very reason. The lobby, grounds, and the room itself wasn't bad, but having housekeeping staff that thinks using toilet water is okay to use to "clean" is unacceptable.
