Wonderful Time

We have just got back from 4 nights staying here. Booked due being near to Penn Station. Location was great!
We had a 2 x double bed room that overlooked the front of the hotel. Yes it was noisy but it is in the middle of the city!
The room was clean and warm. Comfortable and exactly what we needed and expected for the money.
Breakfast was included which was great and enough to fuel us for the day. It did get busier in the dining area after 8am so get there earlier if you prefer it quieter. The make your own waffles were a hit!
All the staff we met were kind and helpful. We came back to a clean, made up room each day.
The only downside (on just one day) was the lift seemed to be out of order. Only one (of the two) was working so it caused big delays in trying to get in as it was too full each time.
We walked down but from the 11th floor it was a lot! My mum struggled with this. She couldn’t climb up either so we just had to wait.
Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our time in New York and would definitely stay there again in the future. I would also recommend it to my friends and family.

Location ideal felt like everything was on our doorstep
Breakfast absolutely horrendous I have pictures which show long queues and empty trays. The breakfast room was also in need of attention.
I did complain about this but to no avail
The hotel appears to be under renovation with scaffolding outside.
Overall it was okay

We picked a central location as our normal place we stay at was booked. The price was ok, but the cost of everything else was atrocious. $80 for valet parking when they just park in the parking lot across the street and take longer to retrieve your car than you would if you just parked yourself and twice as expensive. Valet parking here isn’t worth.
The house cleaners and patrons share elevators so elevator wait time can be incredibly long between people trying to work and people try to get to their room.
The room itself was…. Fine. The AC was very loud. I’m an avid white noise user and livd on a busy downtown Baltimore street and the AC sound was disruptive. The fan in the bathroom was very loud. Everything is a little older which is fine, I wasn’t expecting pristine conditions by any means but it was kinda just too old for the price we pay. The shower was a complete joke, but at least they have accessibility in mind but good luck with any water pressure.
The staff were pleasant and I’d never put down any hospitality workers. They work with what they have, and what they have is an older building owned by a company that won’t invest in the comfort of its patrons and to make their employee’s lives and jobs easier.
Keep in mind: no mini fridges, no microwave in unit so don’t bother with (safe) leftovers.

Convenient

Perfect location, near Penn Station and a 15-minute walk from Times Square. Clean room and comfortable bed, with air conditioning and a large TV. Breakfast from 6 to 10, with little choice and some mix-ups. One day they couldn't find the cutlery and another day the delivery hadn't arrived, so no breakfast. Well... A little more cleanliness in the dining room wouldn't hurt. Chairs and carpet that give you the creeps.

Hotel is in an amazing location, close to everything in mid town you would ever want to see. The rooms are amazingly quiet as well which is great in such a busy city. Front staff was very kind and helpful. There were problems with the plastic keys decoding so that we were locked out of our rooms for no reason, but they fixed the problem. The breakfast is just adequate, no extra frills. There is a good grocery market directly across the street with food to go and multiple restaurants everywhere. Rooms are very nice and clean. No refridgerator in the room but they will hold your food in their fridge downstairs if you ask. Overall, a great hotel for families.
