An Excellent Visit!
We stayed in Villa 1612 (2 bedrooms) in the Jefferson Building; it had a view of the golf course and was furnished beautifully. The room was clean and everything functioned as expected. The Jefferson Building was extremely quiet, and this resulted in some really refreshing sleep. The entire Manor Club property is well cared for, and it shows.
The main outdoor pool was clean and the spa was perfect. There was live entertainment one evening in Bistro 1699 and that was an unexpected treat. We attended numerous character reenactments in the Manor Club Theater, and they were highlights of our trip. We hope the Manor Club continues the reenactments as they were very entertaining and informative.
Every Marriott employee we encountered was friendly and courteous. There are many family friendly worthwhile activities in the Williamsburg area, and we could not get to everything. Separate reviews for the activities and restaurants we visited will be submitted at their respective sites on TripAdvisor.

Disappointing
The biggest issue was the humidity and odor in our room. From the time we arrived, it smelled strongly like a combination of onions and body odor, and everything felt damp — the sheets, curtains, and eventually even our clothes. We asked about changing rooms and were told the property was full and nothing was available, despite rooms of our same type showing as available to book online.
Maintenance brought us a heavy-duty dehumidifier, which made a noticeable difference while it was running. We were initially told they were out of them, but an employee eventually brought one over that had been taken from a vacant room. Apparently the humidity issue is common enough that the property keeps multiple dehumidifiers, and they were all already in use. Once the machine was removed, the dampness and odor began returning. We ultimately bought Febreze ourselves just to make the room more tolerable.
There were other inconveniences as well. The coffee machine in the lobby was out of service when I went down for coffee, and the room and several fixtures showed considerable age and wear. They also charge $20 per day for parking, which seems excessive considering you are simply parking in an ordinary, uncovered lot directly in front of your building/room.
On the positive side, the pool area was very nice and has a small grill/bar, which we enjoyed. The grounds and surrounding area were pleasant as well, and staff did respond when we reported the humidity problem.
Overall, though, I expected considerably better from a Marriott-branded vacation property. A hotel room should not be so humid that the bedding, curtains and your own belongings feel damp, nor should guests have to purchase air freshener to tolerate the smell. The property has potential, but the rooms need renovations and, more importantly, the moisture and humidity issue needs a permanent solution rather than relying on portable dehumidifiers. I would not stay here again unless I knew those issues had been addressed.

As for the rooms- they were awesome! We had a two bedroom unit and it was just excellent. There was a full kitchen, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms (one a master with soaking tub and separate shower) and a beautiful screened-in balcony. We loved the rooms!
All said, this property exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend for a family vacation!
