I love this little hotel. It's not the newest and fanciest but they do things well--and it is maintained well. The staff have a joy that is contagious. The rooms are basic but with simple touches I appreciate--not many places still put pen and paper on the bedside stand. The coffee pot in the room is functional--and the breakfast is phenomenal. The fitness center has decent equipment.

Comfortable, clean, convenient
9/10 rating. Good location, with easy access from I-81. Desk staff was cheerful and accommodating, even though we checked in after 11 PM. The room was well cleaned. I loved the bright edge-light all the way around the mirror that made it so easy to see well.
Our only complaint was the fact that I chose the motel specifically because it advertised a hot breakfast, with a picture on the website showing a big bowl of mixed fresh fruit on the breakfast bar with other things like waffles, eggs, cereal, etc.
At the breakfast area, there was a big vertical floor banner at the entrance showing what they offered, again with fresh fruit pictured. And there is a spot on the counter with a poster above it showing fresh fruit. But there was no fruit. When I asked the lady in charge, she went back and looked, and then said they were out.
The rest of the breakfast was good, but I was really looking forward to some healthy fruit to help start my day.
If they are going to advertise something, I think they should be sure to have enough. We got to breakfast around 8 o’clock and they served till 9:30, so it wasn’t even very late in the morning.
It’s a small thing really, but it was disappointing. Otherwise, our stay was fine.

I didn't realize that it was a "motor lodge" with room doors outside. The room was very comfortable and clean. The issue was, due to its great location, the place was pretty full and many of the customers were travelling and on the road at a very early hour. That led to outside noise bleeding into our room. The breakfast was decent. The check-in was easy and the clerk was very helpful in directing us to a good place to eat after a long day.

The place is ok but the towels are wear and tear that should be replaced. The breakfast ends on 9:30 which I missed, so no comments on it. The location is convenient which is the reason I chose this one. I'd try a different one next time.
