Lovely hotel

Spent 3 nights here.
Such a beautiful hotel. Check in was delayed due to technical issue so was given free breakfast vouchers. Staff greet you at every return… so was nice …
Hotel was beautiful . Rooms lovely . Coffee and tea available in the morning regardless if you have breakfast .
Nice location near bus and subway

Dillusions of Grandeur

Not a pleasant experience, billed as a 4 star, very far from a 4 star, they seem to think providing Molton Brown soap, shampoo etc is all that is needed. My room had a cracked basin, stained curtains and carpet, and a broken shower rail (which they fixed) there is no luxury here, would not give it much more than a 2 star, front looks all OK conscierge on the door, sometimes, staff on reception are very good, nothing is their fault, they do their best to help. And AC, don’t even go there, it is a one pipe system so they switch to cold AC in summer and warm AC in the winter, so you really have no control, the fancy controller on the wall does very little, all you can adjust is a fan speed, not much fun in a cold April, your only hope not to freeze is to turn it off.

Your feedback regarding the cracked basin, stained curtains, carpet and shower rail is deeply concerning and not reflective of the standard we aim to uphold — we are glad the shower rail was addressed during your stay, but we understand this does not make up for the overall condition of the room. We also hear your frustration regarding the AC system and completely understand how uncomfortable a lack of temperature control can be, particularly during a cold April stay. Clients are heard

The location is really good. Easy to get to everything. While the hotel is old it has a charm to it which is endearing.
The breakfast is disappointing and service when busy is long.
I did complain to the manager at the reception. Her name is Arshel. She was very courteous and friendly and immediately took charge of the situation. She offered me a couple of alternatives to compensate for the inconvenience which I found very fair. The next day, the quality of the service at the breakfast had improved significantly. Thank you Arshel for taking action and making our experience so much more positive.

Beyond our expectations

The Melrose Georgetown Hotel exceeded our expectations. Great location—most attractions are about a $10 Uber ride away. The room was spacious with a classic, elegant feel. We loved the complimentary morning coffee/tea and the infused water in the lobby. Special thanks to Lee and La Shae at the front desk for their kindness and efficient service. The Molton Brown amenities and Lavazza coffee were a nice touch. Our whole family enjoyed the stay—highly recommend!

Exceeding expectations is always our goal and we are so thrilled the entire family enjoyed the experience from start to finish.
