Great place to stay on the Cape

We have never stayed here so didn't know what to expect. When you pull up in front it appears to be a well kept motel but when you enter your room, you realize they did an excellent job renovating it. We booked the king bed with a private deck which we strongly recommend! The room was modern and spacious with a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. (Don't know if all have walk-in showers) The deck is spacious with very comfortable chairs and overlooked a beautifully landscaped pool and grounds. The pool has both stairs and a ladder making it very accessible. The staff is very pleasant and helpful and the location is great because it's on 28 and mid-cape so you can be in any part of the cape relatively quickly. Will definitely return.

Many Good Points; A Beautiful Evening... But....

On a Wednesday night, the four of us came to Love Farms, which none of us had been to before, hoping for a top quality dinner. It was a beautiful evening, and our initial impressions were positive. The property apparently used to be a garden center, and the size of the property reflects that in a couple of enormous areas with outdoor tables and/or chairs where people can sit over drinks or meals, play areas and games for children, a singer/guitar player who covers old hits all night without taking a break, and hordes of people (the parking area out front is nowhere near large enough to accommodate the number of diners, so they run a shuttle to/from a nearby business' lot). Our understanding is that the restaurant has farm way in the back that supplies much of its vegetables, making it farm-to-table affair. We got an outdoor table up on the restaurant level rather than the back field. The menu seemed to support the expectation that this would be a meal to remember: certainly the prices were aspirational with cocktails as high as $28 and several main dishes in the high $30s. Our waitress was exceptional: personable and efficient. our drinks were potent and tasty. My gazpacho soup was very good I thought, maybe the best of the summer. The tuna sandwiches that my wife and I both got were fine, but somehow disorganized and feeling not put together, with a huge tuna burger, some sort of fried fish thing, pickles and pickled onions all somehow piled together; and our companions' fish and chips were over-cooked (to their credit, the restaurant was very quick to offer a partial refund). Even though we were outdoors, between the live music and the roar of the crowd, the noise level made conversation a bit of a strain. Overall, we loved the format. But we've had notably better meals at other places on the Cape that were 20-25% less expensive.

LOVE Love Farms Lodge

We had a great stay at Love Farms Lodge. Everything was very clean, new, and comfortable, and the location was fantastic for being on the Cape. The only downside was that the walls were quite thin, so we could hear our neighbors more than we would have liked. That said, for the price and location, it was absolutely worth it. We would happily stay again!

The room was beautiful and the staff very warm and friendly. The shuttle to the resturant is a keeper! We will be back for sure!
