Good location, everything else awful, unsafe, and uncomfortable
Unfortunately, the accommodation itself was very disappointing. While the bed was reasonably comfortable, the bedding was poor quality and we were initially only provided with one very flat pillow each. Extra pillows were only provided after we asked.
The biggest issue was security. The main entrance to the building was not locked, meaning anyone could walk in. There were frequently homeless people around the entrance and rummaging through bins outside at night, which regularly disturbed our sleep and made us feel uncomfortable leaving our belongings in the apartment.
The smell around the property was also unpleasant. The courtyard contained overflowing bins and there was a strong smell of urine that lingered throughout the area, making it far from welcoming.
The apartment lacked basic amenities. There was no air conditioning (only a fan), no wardrobe or proper place to hang clothes, and no safe. The space itself was extremely small and felt quite claustrophobic.
Several maintenance issues made the stay frustrating:
* The curtains fell down when we tried to close them, leaving the entire window exposed.
* The bathroom door would not close properly because the door frame was misaligned.
* The shower curtain leaked water all over the floor.
* There was nowhere to mount the shower head, so it had to be held while showering.
* Hot water was unreliable and occasionally turned freezing cold.
To make matters worse, the apartment numbers were poorly labelled. During our stay, two different guests attempted to enter our room because they believed it was theirs.
Overall, the apartment felt neglected, poorly maintained, unclean, and insecure. While the location was convenient, it did not make up for the numerous issues we experienced during our stay. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
