An unforgettable stay - highly recommended !
I had the great pleasure of spending a few days in this wonderful hotel and I can only say : It was perfect all around !
The staff were friendly, attentive and professional throughout, and the room was clean. My room was spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated. A place to feel good and relax.
The in-house restaurant was a real highlight. The menu is creative and varied, with high-quality ingredients and loving presentation. Every course was a treat. The Service in the restaurant was also first class : courteous, competent and always with a smile.

We had dinner at the hotel twice and it was all 5 stars. The feeling as well as the service were very hospitable, you felt that it came from the heart and the staff there like to work and have fun with it. The soup as a starter, the skin dish and the dessert were sensational. The service was always very attentive and accommodating. It was just a very nice evening. We were shown the rooms, these were top clean and very nicely decorated. You really deserved the 5 stars. A warm greeting to the whole team.

Unforgettable impression

This beautiful castle hotel is a former hunting lodge built in the 1840s by Ferdinand Brettzenheim, founder of Hungary's first porcelain factory in a place called Telkibanya. Two decades later, the building was rebuilt and expanded by new owners – the Waldbottom family. The original purpose of the castle also implies its location - in the forest more often.
The stretch of road leading to the lost hotel in the depths of the forest, where only the beauty of the centuries-old trees that tightly surround the castle, peace and tranquillity reign, is very picturesque and a little mysterious. He led us to a beautiful castle, within which amazingly the current owners managed to combine the style of hunting lodges with their typical trophies on the walls with the comfort of modern air-conditioned hotels, etc. In summer, as we have seen on many occasions, guests enjoy the outdoor Jacuzzi, and throughout the year can relax in the spa area with swimming pool and Finnish sauna located on the ground floor of the building.
Here, too, next to the reception desk, where we were welcomed by a hotel employee, there is a restaurant with wonderful service staff. I want to talk about him separately. Waiter Peter is the second of the few people I've met who are in the restaurant business, and you can safely say that man is absolutely right. Man is busy with his favorite business: easy and alert communication with adults and children, giving guests his smile and great mood. It was a pleasure to watch, for example, Peter interact with the little boy to whom, as an adult gentleman, he had given a bill at dinner to sign for him importantly instead of Dad sitting across the table. As we bid farewell, we have already said thanks to Peter, but I want to say again: “Ķsz̧ņm Petér!”
The interior of the hotel, whose chandeliers and walls are decorated with reindeer antlers, is dominated by a tree that radiates warmth and comfort. The grounds are quite large and very beautiful: there is a playground with a swing, a small football field, and a pond with a fountain and colorful pitchers. Next to it is a bench, as if inviting the guests of the castle to sit down and leisurely enjoy the charm of the field flowers, the splendour of the roses and the serenity that reigns around.

Fine and quiet

This wasn't our first visít, and I hope, won't be the last.
Arrived without previous notification, but got a table in no time.
The service was excellent, the waiters paid also attention to our child (3 years), and delivered the meal in a way, that he also admired.
The menu is perfect, reflects to the locality (venison, boar, etc.), but has classicals as Wiener schnitzel as well.
Thanks and hope get back soon.

Exkluzív családi kikapcsolódás a hegyekben!

Családommal 2020 nyarán látogattunk el elsőnek a szállodába, melybe egyből beleszerettünk. Az Óhuta lakosztályra esett választásunk, mely 4 ember számára tökéletes kikapcsolódást nyújt. A lakosztály nagyon tágas, gyönyörűen berendezett, jól felszerelt volt. A kilátás a kastélykertre szintén káprázatos. Az étkezés színvonalas, hiszen minden étel minőségi és finom volt. Programok akadnak bőven, mivel a közelben rengeteg túraútvonal található, a szállodában bérelhető bicikli is, emellett a pihenésünket szolgálja a wellness részleg is. A személyzet kedves, segítőkész. Mi mindannyian nagyon jól éreztük magunkat, ezért biztosan visszatérő vendégek leszünk!
