Hidden gem
We loved this place, spent 2 weeks in 2018, will be back in 2019.
It’s clean, tidy, all apartments looking into the sea, has it’s own pool, grill area, own small part of the beach, covered parking, no cross traffic as it is end of the road, but also the bay is out of the scope of tourists.
Every morning the local bakery is coming up to this facility with fresh products.
5 minutes walk and you find 2 very good restaurants with reasonable prices.
Warmly recommend for families too, there are lots of possibilities to spend your time, hiking, boat tours, lots of different beaches, small villages etc.

A truly hidden gem.Very good in general but needs some improvement.
Stayed in Spilia Apartments for more than 2 weeks.
The whole experience was very good and if you are looking for a quiet and family-friendly place you should consider it seriously and discover another side of Pelion mountain.
For those unfamiliar with the area Pelion is an amazing destination that blends traditional villages within amazing forests, and clean (mostly deep and wild) seas ,and a variety of options from calm sandy small beaches to noisy rocky gulfs with big waves and trees touching the shore.
Facts:
Paltsi is a very small village around 15km from much bigger Argalasti village which considered the center of the area and around 50km from city of Volos.So be prepared to be a liitle away from "civilization" which that implies a little bit of driving to cover basic needs (Super markets,press,ATM,pharmacy etc.) .The tiny village itshelf has 2 (+1 hidden inside ) taverns ...and that's about it.
The apartments (20+) including houses/villas are on the top of a private hill with olive trees and bushes,under the shadow of a rocky hill and overlooking the beach and Sporades islands .
I definitely recommend to ask for a villa/house especially if you are 4-8 persons company and have your own fully equipped house with a small yard ,parking area and better privacy.
The rooms are average, equipped with the usual appliances (refrigerator,kitchenette,A/C etc ,)and clean, but you have to ask for daily service if you want to because it doesn't come standard within the price.(!).Otherwise you will find yourself taking care of your room.
No breakfast area means no breakfast.Period.Also prepare for extreme heat during mid-day,logical in this time of year.Pets are welcome and will have the time of their life.
The biggest problem though is that the area (trees and cultivation areas) for many reasons have never been sprayed with pesticides ,this of course is very ecological and environmental friendly approach but has a major draw back:Mosquitoes.
So to put it simply ,no matter if you are (or you are not)a type of person that mosquitoes prefer to bite, always have anti-mosquito solutions inside the room and outside or else you will be eaten (not bitten ) alive.Try a couple of nights to ignore this and you will understand it-first hand.
Despite some of the above facts and if you have a little adventure inside,you will find your self in a beautiful landscape over a hill with a beach a few minutes walk, a nice large pool ,excellent fresh fish and home made Greek kitchen (I prefer Mr.Kostas tavern right on the beach),plenty of space for kids and pets ,quiet and away from tourist traps .Visit the local "bar" within the rock (!) right under the apartments, light up a camp fire and sleep with open windows under a clear sky full of stars and the sound of small waves hitting the shore.Recommended.
