Golden Coast Resort
Located in Zakynthos, Golden Coast Resort is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Tsilivi Beach and Alykanas Beach. Traveling with kids? Consider Tsilivi Waterpark and Zante Water Village. Windsurfing and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails nearby. This hotel features 2 restaurants, 2 bars/lounges, and a snack bar/deli. Free buffet breakfast is provided, as well as free WiFi in public areas, free self parking, and a free manager's reception. Other amenities include a coffee shop/cafe, coffee/tea in a common area, and spa services. Golden Coast Resort offers 100 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature safes and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to balconies. These individually decorated and furnished accommodations have separate dining areas and include desks. Beds feature premium bedding. Flat-screen televisions are featured in guestrooms. Bathrooms include showers with rainfall showerheads, slippers, and hair dryers. Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. In-room massages and irons/ironing boards can be requested. Housekeeping is provided daily. A children's pool and a seasonal outdoor pool are on site. An amazing week.
The location was perfect for us, it is right on the beach with beautiful scenery. However this is a peaceful location so if you want somewhere to walk in the evening then you will need to get a taxi to the local town (tslivi). The taxi cost 20 euros each way. There is a few restaurants and a supermarket around a 15-20 minute walk away but not much else. We prefer it this way.
The atmosphere was relaxed, calm and friendly and felt really safe. Everything is in close proximity (pool, beach, bar, restaurant) so it was great when the kids wanted to pop and get a drink.
The room was an issue for us. We booked a family room, the one with the mezzanine with a sofa bed. These beds are not sufficient for two ten year olds. It’s very small up there and one of the beds tipped up when putting any weight on it. Luckily I packed an air bed as I had heard similar reviews. This worked out for us as we made the sofa bed back into a sofa and used the airbed instead. However this meant one of my girls sleeping on an airbed for a week which wasn’t the most comfortable. The aircon was great and effective. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels and linen were provided. The house keeping did a great job. The bathroom is small and when 4 people are showing it becomes flooded which was a pain. Other than that the room was good.
The pool and sun beds were amazing. The kids were in the pool all day. Theres no rush to get a sunbed. We came down at all times of the day and there were available sunbeds at all times.
The restaurant food was really good.
Always something tasty, one of the girls tried new foods and now loves orzo and cous cous! Of course there is always bread / fries for picky eaters. The only downside is the lack of laid tables, cutlery and glasses, most time we visited we had the set our own tables and find our own cutlery and cups by going im the drawers ect. The staff work really hard, I think the hotel needs to invest in more cutlery and glasses as they always seemed to run out.
The sea is great for snorkelling, take beach shoes if you want to go in the sea as there are many rocks. But it’s beautiful.
Entertainment was lovely, in the evening it was nice to sit on the beach listening to live music. The drinks included in all inclusive was enough for us. Wine, beer, cocktails, mocktails for the kids. There is a drinks machine in the bar where you get get all types of pop, water and coffee. There is no ice cream throughout the day, only at meals time. But you can buy it. The snack bar was perfect, gyros, fries, fruit, cake, pancakes, salad, pasta, pancakes, fishfingers. There was always food options available, they even have a cotton candy machine for kids to enjoy!
Overall a very positive experience, we would love to come back! Maybe with a bigger room next time. What an amazing beautiful place.

A Great Week at Golden Coast Hotel
The food exceeded our expectations, especially if you enjoy Greek cuisine. Everything was delicious, with an amazing variety of dishes. Even my daughter, who is usually a very picky eater, tried and enjoyed many different dishes!

Quiet experience
We were staying at suites and it was quite an experience, as everything was nicely cleaned every day.
This connects me with the services, which were amazing, especially the cleaning ladies. Yes, the people at the bar could be faster, but it was okey.
I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a nice and quiet vacation.
