Great room great hospitality

Super room with fireplace . Clean and warm . No extra charge for the woods. Friendly owner. No bath amenities, but super towels!!!!!!!!!!!. Yes i ll visit again !!!!!!!!!!! The points that needs to improve is the breakfast (not only jams form the sm and milk and juice ) and the bath amenities!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible behavior from the owner

We have made the reservation through booking and due I got sick with Covid we asked for change the dates as same is allowed by the platform. The owner who is very rude denied two alternative proposed dates although we have pre paid for the room.After a lot if negotiations we agreed to send us a voucher in order to split it in two other weekends and not during national holidays. He was impolite and hanged us the telephone.However,Same promised to Booking customer service who contacted him as well because they could not understand his denial to accept our proposed dates too. He never sent the voucher though and he didn’t cancel the reservation too. He tried to keep the whole amount without any guarantee from his side and declare to Booking.com that we never show up. I have to cancel last minute the reservation and lose the half of the deposit in order to avoid such a robbery. This review is a warning for other potential clients.

Very good traditional rooms!

Aristarchos hotel is a traditional building with traditional rooms. Very clean rooms, with fireplace, fridge, kitchen where you have to fix your breakfast. Yes, you have to fix the breakfast by yourself. But you will find honey and butter in the fridge and you can ask for milk and bread.
It is very close to Greek taverns, shops and central square.
Hotel owner is a very kind person who will help you.
So is good choice enough in beautiful Kalavryta!!!

A very nice hotel

This is a great hotel, very clean with very spacious suites. The owner is especially hospitable and very kind, he even warmed up our rooms prior to our arrival on a cold evening. We only stayed for one night but would gladly stay there again, given the chance.

A super clean and spacious hotel

We stayed at the hotel just the days after Xmas. It was a last minute booking, and we had second thoughts, as this was one of the very few rooms available in the town for that period.
Arriving there late in the afternoon, after skiing, our room was waiting!
The hotel is not located in the very "center" of the city, but anyway Kalavrita is a small town and you can practically access every place by foot.
There is no dedicated parking, but you can easily find a spot on the road, just outside the hotel.
We felt quite comfortable, and received a very friendly welcome form the reception.
We got the room which is in the ground floor, just behind the reception area, as this was the only available and i guess one (if not) the biggest of the hotel.
this specific room, had no view, with only a small balcony facing the back of the hotel, just up to the place where they are planning to build the spa.
The room, was really very very big, with two single beds, plus a sofa with a drawer-bed, that allows +2 kids or adults to sleep there.
There was fridge, kitchenette for breakfast preparation (will come to that point), boiler, flat TV and very sufficient heating (extremely important in that place)
The bed linen and the towels were pretty much unused, smelled beatiful, and maybe of the best quality i have ever met in a hotel.
Matresses are also new, and can quarantee you a tight sleep.
The other impressing thing was that the place was extremely tidy and clean.
Our only surprise came early next morning when we realized that there is no breakfast served, instead there was in our fridge a bottle of milk, water, butter, bread, jam and honey and we should prepare it by ourselves. Coffe and tea was also included. The usage of the kitchenette is allowed only for breakfast preparation, and it is stated that cooking is not allowed.
I would say that i would visit this hotel again as we enjoyed our rest there, price was ok, and the room was very clean and comfortable.
