A 180-degree view of the sea!
The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and offered breathtaking 180-degree views over the sea. Waking up and enjoying a morning coffee on the large private terrace while looking out over the Aegean was simply unforgettable. Inside, there’s a spacious bathroom and a small kitchenette equipped with everything you need to prepare simple meals if you don’t feel like eating out.
The housekeeping was excellent. The house was cleaned every day, and both the bed linen and towels were changed every three days, which made our stay even more comfortable.
The location is ideal. It’s only a three-minute stroll to the beautiful Tsigouri Beach, while another larger beach is less than a 10-minute walk away. The village is about a 10-minute walk uphill and offers several excellent restaurants with different styles of cuisine. Apart from that, Shinoussa remains wonderfully peaceful, with just three small supermarkets where you can buy all the essentials if you prefer to cook at home. If you’re only staying a few days, you’ll find everything you need within walking distance.
We also rented a quad, which we highly recommend. While the walk to the village isn’t long, it’s quite steep, and after a relaxing day at the beach it was nice to have an easy way to get around.
A special thank you goes to Dimitrios, the owner, whose hospitality was exceptional. He kindly picked us up from the port when we arrived and drove us back on the day of our departure. That personal touch made us feel genuinely welcome from the very beginning. He is also often around and will give you all the information you need about the island.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, spotless accommodation with incredible views, excellent service, and easy access to beaches and the village, Agathia Resort is hard to beat. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Schinoussa.
