Very nice, out of the city hotel

The room was ok, clean and comfortable. The hotel is a little far from the centre of the city. It takes 20-25 minutes to get to the city square. If you like a quiet place this is for you. The stuff are very friendly, and breakfast is good.

A very nice hotel at Tripoli Greece

A very nice hotel at Tripolis with mountains view. Rooms are new, clean and with enough space to make you feel comfortably. Furniture are also new. Internet is available everywhere. Staff is very polite and ready to help you. Breakfast is very good. Although the hotel is two kilometers from the town center you can easily go with the use of taxi which is also cheap.

Nice hotel, very friendly stuff!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights to explore beautiful attractions of Peloponese. Hotel is not in the city center, but in the quiet area near the University. Room was clean and big size, food in the restaurant was very good.

A serviceable stop-off but not in the "city"

If you're considering staying at the Tripoli City Hotel it's probably because you're visiting the nearby University of Peloponnese or you're looking for a base from which to explore the Peloponnese by car. For university visitors, the hotel is almost literally next door, but even so a visit to the university requires a walk down a dirty one-lane country road (a bit strange). For automobile tourists that hotel is well-placed but may be a bit hard to find. Yes, that pothole-strewn alternately dirty and muddy road out into the countryside is the road to your hotel. Good luck.
That said, the hotel itself is perfectly nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Everything works, including the internet (which is not perfect but good enough), and the breakfast is edible if not exemplary. The staff don't speak English very well, but they speak well enough to get the job done. And even if they are not friendly in the sense of hotel staff who are actually trained in hospitality, they did go out of their way to help me have my laundry done by a commercial launderer.
That said, keep in mind that the hotel is 1 mile down a country road from the center of the city, which is where all the restaurants, cafes, stores, and services are. Also the hotel may not be completely "above board" ... a sign proclaims that credit card machine is out of order, which is a bit suspicious. But as a place to sleep it was absolutely fine. No problems.

Very good base to explore the Peloponese

First of all, we chose to stay at Tripoli just because it was a good base to explore various attractions in the Peloponese. Having said that, this hotel fit perfectly our purposes.
Tripoli is not a highly touristic city, so hotel options are limited. This hotel is located outside downtown (so you need a car), in a very peaceful neighborhood. It's meant to be a business hotel, so don't expect a resort. The price is very good for the quality standards.
From the outside it looks like it's not very well preserved, but in the inside it's perfect. Rooms are big and comfortable, bathroom is also very good. Breakfast options very large, and the hotel manager was always there to serve us tea himself.
If you are staying in Tripoli and have a car, this is certainly your best option.
