Breakfast was across the small road from our room in a lovely shaded outdoor space.

Totally peaceful - the perfect place to chill.
As usual for Greece, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not numbered, but named for Greek Gods (ours was Zeus). Don't waste your time asking for a quiet room - they all are!
They don't have facilities for lunch or dinner, but there are many restaurants in Hydra town, and the owner provides a map of those in the immediate vicinity.
Walk up through the cobbled streets to find Leonard Cohen's house, and the old pharmacy (no photos allowed inside though).
There are just a few vehicles on the island (fire appliance, garbage truck, etc), so everything is carried either by donkey/pony or in battery powered hand trolleys.
Walk round to the western headland to see the sunset and the Boy and a Dolphin sculpture.

A beautiful hotel in Hydra
The family-run traditional hotel has around 30 rooms spread across the main street of Hydra, giving it an intimate and welcoming feel. Our room was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and featured a lovely balcony where we spent our evenings relaxing and taking in the peaceful atmosphere.
Breakfast was simple but satisfying — enough to keep us going well into the day. Most days, we found ourselves only needing one more meal later on.
Overall, Angelica is a charming, comfortable place to stay with warm hospitality and a perfect location for exploring Hydra. We’d gladly return!
