But, if you don’t have a scooter (don’t want to hire one) then you may find yourself a bit stuck.
Room was clean when we arrived. However, despite being out early and arriving back late every day, our room was not cleaned once during our 5 day stay. The bin was not emptied; towels not washed, toilet paper not renewed etc.
Also, noise from the chickens may wake you up but we didn’t mind that as we were up early anyway.
Two cheap, good quality warungs to eat at within a close proximity of the hotel. And the yellow bridge is a short walk to the left.
The pool is good. But, despite there being a beach on the hotels doorstep, it’s unsuitable for sunbathing as it’s a seaweed beach. Not great. You have to go elsewhere for a beach.

Lovely owner and wow view!
It is amazing how beautiful it is!
The homestay is just by the beach and you have one wonderful view of the blue sea.
Really good for the money.

Not great, but okay
Plus: large rooms, good mattress and towels provided.
Minus: noise from the chicken living in the yard during the night - made worse by the lack of isolation I could literally stick my fingers between the door and the wall when the door was locked, minimal breakfast, no hooks for clothes inside the room (drying rack provided).

Review on our stay in Kusuma
Besides that : no hot shower (however, I didn't really care) even if it was included in the price but the worst is yet to come : the water used for the shower and the sink was so bad we had to buy bottles of water just to brush our teeth...
After two weeks playing the backpackers in Indonesia, we thought we had seen everything but it was the worst breakfast we ever had, the cutlery was dirty..
We payed double price for renting motorbike, compared to other places on the island.
And last but not least : a aunthill in our bedroom!!
Conclusion : flee this place!
