If I could give 6 stars, I would without hesitation
Kadek isn’t just a host… he’s the final boss. The kindest, most helpful person I’ve met in all of Indonesia. He helped us in ways that went far beyond anything we expected.
The place? Perfect. Clean, peaceful rooms, everything well-maintained. The location? Incredible. Less than 5 minutes walking from the port — super convenient whether you’re arriving or leaving.
But the real gem here is Kadek. From day one, he was always there for us. He helped us book boat tickets, took care of everything himself, and even got us better prices than the official ones. He was always ready to help, without ever asking for anything in return.
My mom has trouble walking — Kadek came to pick her up on his scooter and brought her back to the port. He even checked in on us after we left his Airbnb, just to make sure we were okay. When we missed our boat and he had no more rooms available, he still found us another place to stay just 5 minutes away, at a great price. He literally saved our day.
Even when we were no longer his guests, he kept helping us like a real friend.
Honestly, I recommend this place with my eyes closed. But most of all, I recommend Kadek. He truly deserves the best. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Dishonest
Very dirty room, stained sheets, glass and bathroom mirror that we do not talk about.
But mostly Dishonest Owner.
Don’t book tours with him because you will do the opposite (and less) of what you set out to do.
This is what happened to us, we had to see 5 viewpoints and we only saw 3, tour already paid, maybe its driver was in a hurry to go home (I read that they work until 4/4.30).
When we asked for explanation to the Owner by messages he did not even reply.
I did 4 days in Ubud and I found simple, honest people, we had a Guide who made us do even more than we had asked, especially without asking us 1 euro more, here the opposite happened!
I had already read another comment from a guest who said to be careful to book tours with them because in the end he asked you with any excuse for the extra money, he did not ask us at the end but kept it from the beginning!
I do not recommend place and service to anyone

Outstanding service
Kadek provided outstanding service during our 2 night stay. From pre arrival to arranging west & east coast tours, laundry and departure boat ticket the whole experience was seamless and hassle free. Thank you so much. We enjoyed Nusa Penida a lot.

Avoid this place...not worth it!
I picked this property purely based on it's proximity to the harbour and went by the reviews dropped by many others. I must say most of the positive reviews given by others are either false or have been done as a 'favour' at the insistence of the owner. Let me share the truth (positives and negatives) from my experience at Santhi Guna
Positives:
- Location. It's a 10 min walk away from the harbour
- The property has a village feel to it, perhaps coz it is one!
(that's it)
Negatives:
- The room - The word bungalow is misleading. The room is very small and is just barely enough for 1. The aircon was barely effective, bedsheets had some stains and the bathroom had a stink to it, dirty, was equipped with a horrible liquid in the name of soap and the hot water gave up on us couple of times. (all denied by the owner when pointed out)
- The roosters - I spent two nights at this property and suffered lack of sleep on both days as the roosters (atleast 5-6) around the property start their chorus as early as 3 or 4 am and they're very loud.
- Prices - Right from the price of the room to the breakfast (25k per item + bad coffee...don't get fooled by the list), scooter rental, tours etc the prices are super premium. You will find far better options for everything if you walk to the main road.
- The owner - Lastly something about the owner. Kadek is only a business man. On arriving at the property, to our surprise, he stayed put inside our room, until we revealed our plans for Nusa Penida. On realizing that our plans were already made and that we weren't going to give him any new business (taxi rentals, tours etc) besides renting his scooter, his attitude towards us changed. Guess he gives his client's '5 star service' only if they give him or have potential business for him.
- Customer service - Though we stayed for 2 days not once did we see the room cleaned nor sheets rearranged or replaced. We requested to extend our check out by an hour (almost all hotels and Airbnbs in Bali were kind to accommodate it) due to some reasons but he chose not to give us a minute over 12pm, not even when I told him my wife will need to use the bathroom after coming back from the beach. We had to change our plans to make sure we weren't overstaying. He over charged us for the scooter rental too which he tried to justify unsuccessfully. I understood that he was just trying to get maximum incomes from us as he realised we aren't going to come back to his property in the future.
I had read that he had dropped customers off at the harbour so I requested him to do so which he complied hesitantly, probably only because I had left his scooter with far more petrol that when he had given it to me.
If I were you, I will choose hundreds of other options nearby which are far more value for money and where you can atleast sleep peacefully. This one is just not worth it.

The best!!
I stayed here with my partner for a few nights. Really good location, comfy beds, clean bathroom, quiet and safe.
Everything was superb, but I have to highlight the attention and service of the owner. I never met him in person, but he was always in contact by whatsapp. Before to go there, he called me telling me that they had a problem with the bookings and it was full on my arrival, he could have just say sorry and left me without accomodation, but for the contraire he put me in other accommodation for that night just beside his place and arranged absolutely everything for me without any extra charge or trouble.
He was the best!! So supportive, always on top to know if everything was going well, giving us all the tips and good places to visit
Also his mum was in charge of the included breakfast that I have to say it was absolutely delicious!
I'll recommend 100% this place and I'll be so happy to go back if I visit Penida again.
