One of surf camps located near G land surf spot. Recently renovated and looks nice.
If you need internet for work G Land area is not good. In all surf camps nearby and wifi for video calling or stable sockets. Mobile network is the same. Closest village with good internet is located in 1 hour road from g land. We left this place 1 day before than our booking is expired because of bad internet.
If you on your own transport you have to show your reservation in alas purwo national park. Otherwise it’s forbidden to enter park on your own transport.
The food is good for surfers. You accumulate it during your stay and pay at the end. The dormitory room looks simple and clean (you have to go to toilet outside in 30 seconds). There are loads of monkeys in the area: be careful during your breakfast, they could easily catch your milkshake or so. Staff spend some time to deal with monkeys.
They have transfer with boat to surf spots. If you want to paddle in beach is just 100 meters away.
Many animals are nearby: I saw deers, boars, monkeys. There are some gossips about tigers.

NOT WORTH IT
Don’t go here. We booked for a bungalow from the 25th-28th may since April; when we were alteady in Bali, 4 days before our departure to g land, the owner told us there would be no boat on the 25th and we had to change it to the 24th. Had to cancel bookings etc. As an apologize he offered an upgrade for a lux room, without additional costs, for the whole stay. When we got there the staff didn’t know about it and said they were fully booked and we would get the room we paid for. Tried talking to Matt, showed him the message with the promise of an upgrade, he would just repeat our booking was for a bungalow and we got what we had booked and that was it. The room is average, very basic, needing several repairs. The staff is friendly but weren’t very helpful; I don’t surf and was promised they could arrange Mount Ijen tours, but they never knew about infos and I ended up not doing it. Even for surfers, it was promised boat transfer to surf spots everyday, but it was a very limited service and they ended up getting into the waves by themselves. No photos were taken as well. Food was ok, but they were out of MANY items, everyday. One day there was no coffee or eggs for breakfast! The fruit was limited, no variety, during our 2 last days there was only papaya.
They have a beachfront deck that is abandoned, with only 2 old chairs; the bathroom right next to it does not work
Absolutely don’t come here. Next to it there is a place called joyos surfcamp, much more organized from what I hear.

Not as advertised.
Totally average. NOT luxury, food was okay, but they were out of many many items, including fresh fruit, and every meal was the same. Bedding, and linens old, and had holes. When I brought up my thoughts to the agent who sold us Jawa Jiwa, I was told "It is a more rustic jungle experience", despite it being advertised as a "luxury glamping resort".

I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but I have given Matt the owner, every opportunity to find out what happened to my room and reimburse me. The excuse is always the same, I’m on another island surfing, no internet. So here goes. Literally was promised the world, was sent photos of lovely apartments. So I booked an apartment, queen bed and one single. Couch, outdoor setting, hot water. The camp itself is lovely and the staff amazing. But I arrived to a tent. With 3 stretcher beds that you could feel every spring. Cold water and zero furniture. When I asked, I don’t know. Didn’t want to seem like a Karen so I sucked it up Found out that the tent next door was renovated and I got dodgy. On departure I was asked to pay, she’s on the phone to the owner. Umm no, already paid. Turns out we’ve paid wayyyy too much already but also Been given the crap tent instead of an apartment, so who got my apartment?? I show her the pictures of the room I think I’m getting, turns out that this room doesn’t exist, not even built yet. I have asked many many times for the refund as we have paid more than we were supposed to and on top of that got a crap room. Hopefully Matt hears about this and rectify s this situation

Very Disappointing...
We expected a great glamping experience but the reality was far from the promises of the website. From bedding quality to bungalow amenities, restaurant choices, staff attitude and more, nothing was as described! We attempted to inform management but were told in no uncertain terms that they were not interested in responding. No worries, we’ll take our business elsewhere! Too bad because the camp is located in a beautiful location and there are other camps around...
