Rijasa Home Stay, opposite Water Palace, great accommodation and food

Staying here 10 nights to experience real Bali life. Family run guest house own spotless clean rooms with balcony and beautiful gardens overlooking rice fields.
Accommodation is very cheap R200,000 to R250,000per night for 2 (Aust $20-25) including breakfast.
Walks and day trips organised, delicious food in front café and daily swims in the top pool opposite at Water Palace for life long health.
Putu is a traditional healer used by Balinese who can also help travelers with massage/ manipulations ask for appointment.
Ketuk Sarjana is great flute teacher and walking guide. Highly recommend this family run business, Lonely Planet also recommends.

Very good, very friendly! Loved our stay.

For us it was a good experience, the staff is so friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. You have your own terrace and the garden is lovely. The food in the restaurant is amazing! Try the duck tutu! They can arrange a lot of activities, help you out all the time, and you sleep right across the beautiful waterpalace. Ask for driver Made Sudirta if you need a daytour, drive...
If you are lucky, you can even enjoy traditional genjek...

Two nights in may

We had a good time at this beautiful spot right oposite the the Tirta Gangga water temple. Friendly owner, nice room with a fan (enough for the time of the year, the elevation makes it a bit cooler than it is on the coast) and garden, good food in the warung.

Homestay with good potential.

Great location, reasonably priced food at home restaurant. Small breakfast included in the night rate, get ready for ordering extras. Nice garden and outdoor areas. Rooms furnished in a basic way, OK considering the price. Bathroom would benefit minor fixings and extra cleaning (e.g. moisture tiles and joints, dirt bathtub, wallpaper). Friendly staff, but don't expect too much without paying extra, such as for basic infos on hikes nearby. Also mind which staff you speak to: (pricy) misunderstandings tend to occur with some easier than with others.

Highly recommended homestay in Tirtagangga!

This place is run by an amazing family. It is located right in front of the entrance of the waterpalace. They offer very nice rooms (bungalow style) with a private balcony and private bathroom. The rooms are located in the back in a beautiful, peaceful garden. You can choose for cold or hot water and breakfast is included. In the waterpalace across the street, you can go for a nice swim while enjoying the beauty of this place.
Furthermore, they can organize trekkings to Agung and Batur, mountainbiking, beautiful walks through the ricefields, transport to wherever you want to go and whatever you need, they'll help you.
In the evening you can enjoy with the locals, drinking some arak or tuak and listening to the local music. Highly recommended!
