Lovely staff for Budget Hotel

Staying here for few nights .I choosed the superior room and it was really nice room for the budget hotel. I wasn't expected like that before my arrival. The Staff is really super friendly and helpful. Staying here is just like at home. It's a good location for you who want to continue your trip to other places such as Lake Toba, Berastagi or Bukit Lawang.
To reach Z suites Hotel is easier if you catch the bus from Airport. ALS is the bus company which drop you directly near to this Hotel.
Just 3 min walking from hotel you can go to a new shopping mall called Ringroad City walk. I think this area is also culinary area because there are some cafes, resto nearby this hotel.

Very disappointed

Really impressive reception but the rest is not so impressive.
Staff were nice and friendly but didn't seem very effective.. it took a very long time to get checked in.
Rooms were not clean. My wife had a late night standoff with a large insect in the bathroom sink. She feels like she's a stronger person now having won the battle, so perhaps that's a positive. I guess it's difficult to prevent things crawling up the sink drain but it happened and wasn't pleasant.
Breakfast was a chocolate spread sandwich and cup of tea (fully loaded with sugar).
Took at least an hour and a half from the airport (Medan) by taxi.
Cheap but still very disappointing.
We were supposed to stay a second night before heading to early morning flight from Medan airport on the way back from Bukit Lawang but we're so disappointed with the first night we decided to skip it and just catch our Z's at the airport (even though we had already paid).

Don't stay here

Don't be fooled by the chandeliers in the reception!!
An hour and a half from the airport.
3 staff took about 30 minutes to check us in.
Room was dirty not just a little run down and Dusty it was filthy. The toothpaste from previous guest all over the sink bowl and other dirt. The aircon did work and the room was a reasonable size for 1 person.
I was there with a group 2 other rooms and I could open both these rooms with my key card.
After an uncomfortable nights sleep in questionable sheets we went for breakfast which included syrupy tea too sweet to drink and white bread and nutella sandwiches I couldn't eat these.
To be honest if I was to do this again I would have arranged for a driver to take me straight to bukit luwang we would have arrived late but we would have had clean comfortable rooms.

Atrocious -- cheap but still overpriced for what you get

While previous reviews had led me to expect a standard, noisy budget hotel in an inconvenient location, this turned out to be far worse than I'd expected, to the point where I cut my stay short to ensure I only spent one night. I'm no stranger to budget hotels and hostels in Indonesia, but this was by far the worst I've seen. Initially I was in a single room, which had no windows and smelled strongly of mould, which was also visible on all of the surfaces. The mould smell was so strong that I ended up paying to upgrade to a double room for the night, which had a window so smelled marginally fresher; however, the mould still gave me some serious allergies. Neither room had been cleaned properly in some time: there were cobwebs, the bathrooms were grimy, the wallpaper is peeling off, and in my first room there were no towels, toilet paper, bin liners, or anything else one might expect in a hotel room. The sheets in both hotels were also suspiciously unclean – even in my more tidy double room I found someone's hairs throughout the sheets, which led me to use my personal sleeping bag liner for the night (not something one should have to do in a hotel). Although some of the staff attempted to be helpful, they spoke very little English, which made things difficult. Furthermore, the “breakfast” consisted of nothing more than four pieces of white bread with some jam or honey and an excessively sweet cup of tea – every other budget hostel or hotel I've stayed in in Indonesia has offered something far more substantial and better. I also attempted to get dinner from the hotel restaurant, only to find that it was closed (at about 6:30pm) – I'm not sure what their opening hours are but that was pretty unhelpful, especially given that there are few decent food options in the surrounding area. In short, do yourself a favour and don't stay here. It may be cheap, but given what you get for your money it's severely overpriced. I'd recommend that you instead pay a few extra dollars to stay somewhere else – I ended up moving to the Batik Hotel for my second night, which was not much more expensive but overall was a huge amount better.
