The epitome of peace and hospitality
My friend and I stayed at Krivine back in May and it was the highlight of our trip to Israel. After visiting the bustling cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, this was the perfect place to unwind in the sun. We stayed in the Indian guest room, a spacious and comfy room that had the means to prepare and make meals; Stove, microwave, coffee machine etc... There was sufficient cutlery and utensils, which sounds like a basic expectation but so many accommodations lack the basic necessity of providing a pan to cook on, or more than 2 forks...
The bed was very comfy and large enough to get a great night's sleep in. We had our own private garden which added to the tranquillity. Beautiful plants and trees make for a peaceful morning coffee in the garden. Our bathroom was modern and clean. Quirky and artistic Indian décor is dotted around the room, creating an interesting view to the eye rather than something bleak. As for John, we couldn't be more grateful for his hospitality. A classic Israeli breakfast was prepared for us every morning: Olives, eggs (however you like them), selection of cheeses, dates, Bedouin pita bread and yoghurt. Such a breakfast was needed to fuel most of our days, as John was kind enough to educate us about the area and activities to do. On one of our days, we set out on a hike to Ein Akev, a beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert that you can swim in. John told us everything we needed to know about this hike, and has provided a full article about Ein Akev on his website. Mountain bike hire is also available in the village for those who wish to explore the desert in a fun way.
A 5 minute walk from the accommodation will take you to the edge of the village. Standing upon a cliff you gaze upon the landscape which is Martian-like, and the views are spectacular. At night you can still see the mountains in the distance, which is a completely different experience compared to daytime.
Krivine guest house is situated in a quiet, sweet village but offers a wonderful sense of peace. The price was fair given how much we enjoyed our time there, and how much work John and his wife have put into the guest house over the years. John, if you're reading this, thank you. You went above and beyond for us in ways that I don't need to say.
If you thinking of a peaceful yet fun get away in the desert, this is the place.

Welcoming hosts and spacious, quirky accommodation
We arrived at Krivine just in time for afternoon tea (not included in the price for guests) of cucumber sandwiches, cakes and tea served from a proper tea pot. Our hosts Marion and John were lovely, welcoming with encyclopaedic knowledge of the Negev and the local area. Our room was the Indian Room. It was large, very quirky, with fully equipped kitchenette and a private garden included. Breakfast was more than ample, fresh Israeli salad, cheeses, eggs, cereals etc. served at our table.
We loved this B&B but it is not for everyone.
Highly recommended for families and people looking for a different experience.

Fantastic Guesthouse
Great place, had everything we needed. Warm in the freezing winter, wonderful shower, cozy apartment and of course the location is the best for the area. You can step out of the guesthouse and take a stroll, looking onto incredible scenery. Would love to come back.

Great weekend at Krivine B&B
The “English” room was spacious, the bed was big and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped with dishes, fridge, gas top & microwave, windows overlooking ‘our’ private patio, very good and strong shower with plenty of hot water, excellent breakfast served on attractive, ceramic dishes, including fresh cut salad, cheeses, omelets, dates, nuts, olives & homemade jams. The patio has a little fishpond, a hammock, table & chairs, very relaxing. Marion was helpful providing suggestions for hikes & things to do nearby. It is a few minutes’ walk to the cliff top overlooking Nahal Zin, with wild Ibex roaming around & great location for touring the Negev. We also had the “English Tea Party” which was very tasty and a fun experience. The room and breakfast area are a hodgepodge of English touches and local features & while comfortable, the outside areas especially are rather weather beaten.

We just dropped by for a cup of tea
The place is a guesthouse and also an English Tea Room, with scones and cream and homemade jam.
The tea ceremony is a charm, and everything was very tasty.
We shall be back again, when we are around (though we heard the rooms are very nice, as well).
