A sense of unused potential.
We came to the hotel to change the atmosphere, relax, but also to devote some time to work.
To our surprise, we found that there was no convenient place to sit and work throughout the hotel. Except for the lounge, quiet and elegant but only opened from 13:00, there was no lobby or arranged sitting area with a table and chairs.
On the day of departure we were asked to clear the room at 11:00, while our massage was set for 13:00. We approached the receptionist and asked for a solution, but we were told to sit in the lobby of the nearby hotel – a noisy place with children, exactly what we tried to avoid when we chose to stay in Almond.
To our amazement, during our stay we found out that other guests were allowed to stay in the room until 1:00 p.m. The feeling was that there was no uniform policy, and no effort was made to find a similar solution for us.
We leave the hotel with a mixed feeling. On the one hand, it is a beautiful, elegant and very pleasant hotel. On the other hand, there is a lack of flexibility in providing solutions to guests in such situations, and the feeling is that it depends on who asks.
We hope you see this feedback as an opportunity for improvement, because the hotel has great potential, and a little more flexibility and thinking about guest needs would make the experience truly excellent.

Nice is not a work plan: disappointing premium vacation records
I’ll start by saying I almost never write negative reviews.
A luxury hotel is measured not only by the design of the rooms or the quality of the meals, but mostly by the way it behaves when things go wrong. Failures can happen anywhere, but in our case it was an unusual sequence of problems that hit almost every part of the holiday: lack of privacy, smoking cigarettes and glass attached to the room, flooding, poor cleaning, an unlocked vitrin, re-entry of maintenance personnel, unavailable compensation, and fire ports around the pool.

First Couple Vacation in 7 Years That Became A Sequence of Failures and Disappointments
We arrived at the Almond Hotel in Nawa Ilan to celebrate our 40th birthday and go on our first couple vacation in seven years. We were looking for peace, privacy and real rest for body and mind, so we decided to invest about NIS 4,500 in a high-end room with a private pool.
It is important to note at the beginning: the managers and staff were mostly charming, courteous and pleasant on a personal level. We have no claim to their kindness. Unfortunately, pleasant service cannot replace a decent reward, efficient troubleshooting and genuine responsibility.
Already when we arrived at the hotel deck there was a strong smell of grass in the air. When we entered the lobby we were welcomed, the place smelled good and the room we received was very nice.
Soon we figured out that the term "private pool" is a little misleading. On both sides of the pool there are about a meter high glass sections, with a number of prints on them, which are supposed to separate the pools of the nearby rooms.
Worse, on one side of the room we smoked cigarettes and on the other side we smoked grass. The heavy smell entered the room and prevented us from opening the vitrines, sitting outside or enjoying the pool we paid a premium price for.
We approached her, especially given the fact that the hotel is a non-smoking area all over it. I asked the officer, "So what should I do, go into the room and not use the pool and porch I paid for?"
Her answer was, "Yes. They paid a lot of money, they can do whatever they want in their pool area."
It was a silly, senseless statement for us. We also paid a very high sum for the room.
You must have paid the 4,500 shekels that we paid in monopoly money, because otherwise it's hard to explain why we didn't have the basic right to enjoy the facilities we paid for.
It was only after we addressed the manager that he apologized and asked the guests to stop smoking, but in practice it did not help for long.
Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of a succession of failures.
When we went into the shower, we discovered there was probably a clog in the shower. The water flooded the bathroom and slipped into the room. Not even a towel was in place, and we had to invite the hotel staff again to clean up and take care of the clog.
In addition, the bed was filled with seals and felt almost like a sandbox- a blanket that turned out to be crumbling. Instead of resting and organizing quietly, the room turned into a train station of maintenance workers going in and out, so we didn't even have basic privacy to change clothes or rest.
The dinner was good, and that definitely comes to the hotel credit. But when we got back in the room, we were again waiting for smells of cigarettes and glass, and again we couldn't enjoy the pool or open the room to the air.
When we were getting ready to go to bed, we found that even the showroom that led to the pool was not locked. There were signs on the frame that looked like signs of breach or attempted opening before. We invited a maintenance worker again, who did an improper repair.
The next day, the manager of the hotel approached us and offered, as compensation for the failures, free spa treatment for one of us. We agreed, but when we arrived at the spa, it turned out there was no place to accept us.
In the morning the pool again smelled strongly of cigarettes and glass. Only after another contact with the nearby guest manager we answered the request, we went for a walk and returned afterwards and for a short time we could finally enjoy a bit of the room and the pool — until the night.
After the first day was completely ruined by the failures, the flooding, the maintenance staff, the faulty vitrines and smoking, we requested to extend the vacation by another night at a discount of 50%.
The hotel refused to do so, we were offered to buy another night for an additional $2,000, which was presented as a kind of "upgrade".
We were also offered a future break to the spa and breakfast or a "fun day" for the next time. It may be a convenient hotel solution, but it is not especially relevant to a couple who took seven years to go on vacation and needs a rest here and now rather than a promise of a future visit that doubts if it happens.
Also last morning I walked into the pool and discovered a large amount of fireworks around the pool, which raised our suspicion that they were the source of the stains my wife suffered during the night and didn't realize where they came from.
I was asked if we had fun. I started to say not really, but before I finished the sentence, I said, "Well, I'll send you the invoice by email.

It was perfect and magical.
We come every year in July with my partner, we stayed at the Almond Hotel and had an exceptional experience. Every time we rejoice and rejoice!!!The hotel is high-quality, clean and treated, with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
The room was spacious, pleasant and well furnished, and the breakfast was fresh, delicious and abundant...
Thank you to all the hotel staff for the perfect hospitality. We will definitely be happy to return again and warmly recommend to anyone who is looking for a high-quality holiday.

As soon as you walk through the doors you feel a sense of calm and serenity .
There is music playing and beautiful fragrance in the air in the reception area .
The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom .The bed and sheet so were very soft and it felt like we were sleeping on a cloud
Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the view was spectacular
Delightful staff as well .
There is a roof top heated pool which was like entering a bath .
We then used the sauna and steam room .
We would definitely go back and will recommend it to everyone so they can have such a wonderful experience as we had .❤️

Relaxing... that says it all
We spent two days/two nights at the Almond Hotel, a compact boutique hotel about 15 minutes from Jerusalem. No kids and no meat. The room was spacious, the dairy meals were plentiful and tasty, the pool was lovely (shallow but heated), and the all-day lounge was a great plus. The staff - particularly in the dining room - were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We didn't have a private pool or jacuzzi, but that was fine with us. We didn't try the spa, either. We aimed for R & R, and that's exactly what we got. We loved it.
