Excellent
Had an excellent stay of 4 nights the week before Christmas. I had a room with a private bathroom (not the luxury room but still had my own bathroom). The location is great, very close to the seaside and very central and the price wasn’t too bad.
The staff is extremely friendly, I befriended one of the girls at the reception and we’d talk when I saw her coming back to my room, usually in the evening. I’d definitely recommend staying here, it’s rare to find lovely staff at hotels.

STAY AWAY!!!
My son came at 3 am, hotel was well aware of this late arrival, confirmed it 24 hours before. and NOBODY opened a door, NOBODY answered the phone, my son slept on the bench on the street until 6 am. We didn’t even received an apology just email from booking that they will make a refund.
Please be careful and stay away from this TERRIBLE place. I wish them to be bankrupted and that it’s management will be treated like this in some other places.

A10-minute walk to the beach, this hotel is well-situated and at a good price for our stay.
Pros:
Location was perfect, a 10-minute walk to the beach and town, great for walks around the neighbourhood.
Fantastic welcome by the staff on duty at the Front Desk, very helpful with directions to restaurants, etc. All other staff we met were also very helpful and efficient.
Was handy to have a small kitchenette especially during Shabbat, when we arrived!
Cons:
1) The photo on Booking.com's main page for the Gordon Inn shows a beachfront location, which is not at all connected to the hotel! Apparently, this was a restaurant the owner once owned a long time ago. This is very misleading and dishonest! It left a bad taste in my mouth, for false advertising.
This hotel was a 10-minute walk to the beach! Booking.com needs to check these properties to make sure the photos match what is offered. This was negligent on their part too.
2) The bed was uncomfortable: thin mattress and quite hard, after a while one could feel the springs. Needs new mattress!
3) A chair was partly broken and the bathroom door handle came loose, but the maintenance man fixed it same day after we brought it to their attention.

Rude staff and dirty - not staying here again
I hated my stay at this property (City Studio room, 1 week in December) It’s a 2-star hotel so my expectations were quite low, but they somehow managed to miss those low expectations. I won’t ever be staying here again. You can easily find something better for cheaper in Tel Aviv.
The bad:
* Checkin experience was disastrous. I’ve never been treated so badly anywhere! We had a dispute which could have been treated with professionalism and respect. Instead, the receptionist in the picture was so rude and unprofessional. She was acting crazy and childlike saying things such as “I think you have something to hide” and “you wasted my time so now I’m going to waste yours.” She also gave me somebody else’s room and insisted that was my name on the booking (thanks, I think I know my own name!) so she screamed at me to sign. She was a bully and incompetent. The next day, the manager wrote to me to try to resolve the dispute. When I complained about the lack of manners of her staff member, I didn’t receive an apology or follow-up resolution. Very very unprofessional service.
* Really noisy. I mean, REALLY noisy. I don’t mean street noise but hallway noise. At 8am, the Russian maids start working and they scream, shout, drop things, move things around loudly. They have no awareness that it’s a hotel and there might be people sleeping in on their holidays.
* The staff have no notion of privacy. Over the course of one week, staff opened the door while I was in the room without asking whether they could come in (one was a cleaner and the other was someone who came to fix the flooded shower.) The cleaner knocked but the guy simply opened the door.
* The property is quite dirty and has many gross elements - mould on the walls, flooding shower, stickers that people have left behind in the bathroom, hair on the floor (the day I checked in), dust everywhere.
* In general, the guys at reception are nice but clueless. I asked a few basic questions about the facilities and they would give me wishy-washy answers but nothing concrete. Don’t think they’ve been trained.
* During the day, it takes forever to get the lift because they have workers loading things up and down.
The good:
* Good pillows and mattresses (even though it’s two mattresses joined up)
* Large wardrobe
* Great location (although most locations in Tel Aviv are quite good)
* Fridge and microwave
* No noise from outdoors (but my window was facing the back)
* Good water pressure in shower (although not so warm at around 7pm)
* Safe is large enough for a laptop

Very satisfied
Stayed in the double lux room with private bath. I didn't met before so many positive things in one place.First of all pay attention to the location. In the heart of Tel Aviv,very close to the sea side and very comfortable to get any direction.The location staff impressed me a lot.It weren't any request to not be satisfied. Started with early check-in,then the scan and print services for free,then the warm hello from the hotel with bottle of wine and biscuits,additionally each day they put the chocolate on the bed:)The room was equipped by everything you need:all kitchen staff,tea,coffee,fridge and so on.Breakfast is served in the caffe in the neighborhood. The vouchers for breakfast are available any time.So you can keep them and use in the evening e.g.in 2 days after check-in.They serve local menu with fresh juice included or vegetarian menu or even what you want instead for amount of 45 shekels.Well, I can continue,but I think that it is enough to understand that it is a very good option and each cent I cent for this statement worthed it.
