Wonderful family stay in Aqaba
We had a wonderful family stay at Al Manara in Aqaba. The hotel is beautiful, elegant and very well maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere and a great location.
The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the pool and beach areas were lovely. What really stood out for us was the hospitality and the friendly, attentive staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options, and the overall service was of a very high standard.
A beautiful place to relax and enjoy Aqaba with the family. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.

Highly recommended
Chef Ismail Badr deserves a 10/10! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ He prepares incredibly unique and delicious dishes and truly cares about his guests. He is always going around the tables, checking on everyone and asking what special dishes they would like to try. His creativity, hospitality, and attention to guests are outstanding. Highly recommended!

Luxury personified and Aquaba
The Saraya Alqaba by Al Manara is a beautiful luxury hotel. Our room is fabulous decorated in the modern style yet with a nod to Arabian roots and a magnificent view overlooking the Gulf of Aquaba. The pool yesterday was filled with filled with children and families that our guide told us were mainly Israelies who love to cross the border into Jirdan for a luxury weekend. If you like an excellent western style breakfast and great ME options, this is the breakfast for you. One of our travel companions was missing bacon and was very happy finding the local equivalent after missing it for over two weeks. My pick was the wonderfully creamy muesli with several options, beautiful fresh fruit salad and wondeful fresh sourdough and other bread options, smoked salmon and vegetable, cheese etc options. They also boasted fresh Halva options which are a very morish ME sweet. The hotel staff are very welcoming and helpful and always upsell your requests if possible. Hubby not feeling himself...offering room service...needing a shaving kit due to shaver head failure, no problem ? Needing help with directions no problem....I do recommend only flagging down a green official taxi if you don't want to get scammed. My 1 km trip in an unregistered taxi cost 4 JOD cash only no change available and no credit card or meter. Return cost in a green taxi 1.2 JOD for which I just passed over 2JOD.
Shops open at 11am and stay open until 12am. Some small shops may be closed in the early afternoon until 4-5 pm ish? For ME sweet treats you can't go past Anabtawi where you can buy a beautiful 180gm box of Arabic sweets for 5.50 JOD or 6.50 JOD 250gm.
I would recommend this hotel for the quality of the food and the quality and size of the rooms and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. For those criticising the pool, there are spa facilities if you want more private time. Best to avoid Thursday through Saturday (ME weekend) in August while school holidays are on for a quieter time. Despite concerns about the ME here in Jordan and Egypt, we have neither seen nor heard any evidence of rockets or war but the locals are suffering a downturn in tourism due to perception of war.
