nice stay

the room was good the stay was great the people are wonderful and enjoyed the breakfast. stay and enjoy thee people . the bed was good and water was hot i enjoyed the view it was good of the hills . nice room

Hummid and dark

Standard room. No warm in rooms. Cold. Hot water in electrical boiler not enough to take a shower. Personnel are not hospitable, and the hotel bit expensive for such services and conditions. Very loud outside, because the central square is near and windows not protects from sounds very well.

Don't stay here, even avoid Kokshetau city completely if you can !
Hotel has no perception what so ever of customer service, staff rude and unhelpful, rooms ill equiped and poorly maintained, after a shower at this hotel I feel dirtier coming out of the shower than when I went in !

Basic accommodation poor breakfast but good restaurant attached

I wouldn't recommend this hotel but there are few alternatives in Kokshetau so you may have no choice. Rooms don't have a desk and have small beds even if you 'upgrade'. Very Soviet I'm style and westerners are unusual and conspicuous. Try for a smile but you are unlikely to get one! Restaurant is very good

2.5 stars if I could

This hotel is quite average. The lobby area and first floor generally make it look quite reasonable for this northern town in Kazakhstan. The connected tavern sells good food and drink as well though a bit pricey. The residence floors though are quite dated and need some serious upgrades. My bed didn't have any sheets on it and the duvet and mattress cover where both stained as was the pillow (only one of the two had a pillow case on it). The carpet was extremely warn and only after 5 days did I finally find out that the women that sits at the desk outside of the elevators doesn't have a key and thus won't clean your room unless you leave your key, the only key, at the front desk. The TV didn't work and one night a bug dropped from the curtain onto my pillow while I was trying to get to sleep.
The breakfast was exactly the same every day as well and was quite average. If there are other guests on your floor it will tend to be quite loud. Music at 5am woke me up one morning and a group of Kazakh travelers continually tried to enter my room another night.
Lesson learned...while a good location and good initial impression this hotel left much to be desired.
