Best value in Kisumu.

The hotel is older, but well maintained. It is located in the heart of Kisumu; easy to find and easy access to the airport. Parking is provided and the area is walled, gated and guarded. I felt very safe anywhere on the grounds.
Our room was a great value: had air conditioning ( in the bedroom but not the bathroom). It was large and included a TV (didn’t work), small refrigerator, a kettle to boil water, large closet, huge tiled bathroom with full size tub with shower; buffet breakfast included. We paid $55 USD/night.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Even the security guards would greet me in the morning with “ Good morning, Sir; how did you sleep ?“
The dining room was quite large and just exuded old world charm. The buffet breakfast included fruit juices and sliced fresh fruit, eggs made to order, sausages , potatoes.
Their restaurant is in the front of the building, borders on the street and although not air conditioned, a nice breeze comes through the large open windows (but that does let in some street noise). Menu is a bit limited but portions were adequate and prices reasonable. We paid just $22 USD for dinner for 3.
The interior gardens were well maintained. The rooms were quiet. It just felt like an oasis.

A hotel from another world - no Wi-Fi, little water

Hotel in central Kisumu, built in colonial style. The internet didn't work, there was very little water from the taps (if they worked at all), the breakfast was ok, but sparse. There was AC in the room and the room was ok big, if worn. None of the above encourages return visits.

Colonial style but misses something

The hotel could be really nice as it is an old hotel stemming from colonial times. However, it’s not so nice inside. The rooms are confortable but there is no wifi in the room. Also there is not always hot water and sometimes the water flow even stops completely. The meals are good though and the location is convenient.

An Oasis within the CBD

I have not stayed the night but the meals are okay. It is located at a central place from where it is quick to access services; banking, shopping, connecting transport or meetings. Having been renovated from a traditional hotel from back in the era, it has ample space and good layout

Do not care about guests

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. They play loud music that can be heard in every room for 6 people by the pool. They do not care about their guests comfort & even argue when you politely complain. The rooms are dirty, sheets are stained (eeewwww) & bins are not emptied between guests visiting.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!
